As we all know, you guys and myself of course are PC gamers, mostly FPS gamers, so basically I want each of you guys to post his or her system's specifications, what you mostly use your computer for and if you are, what you are planning to upgrade in the near future.
Post in the following form:
CPU: Example: Intel Core i5 2500 @3.3 GHz, Also known as Central Processing Unit, won’t go into technical ****, but basically the faster this thing is, the faster your PC will be and more responsive
Motherboard: Example: ASUS P8P67 Pro, The anchor of all the system’s data flow, it interconnects every component in you system and it’s where you basically plug most of your **** (In desktops at least, in laptops its same issue but less obvious).
RAM: Example: 16 GB Corsair vengeance 1600MHz (2x8 GB), Random Access Memory is called a “volatile” memory, it is used by the PC when you first turn it on, and empties when you turn it off. It stores information on current running programs and access to it is faster than accessing the hard disk drives (and no you can’t open them like any hard disk). To test RAM and see how they work, restart your computer, open a program and record how much time it took, close it then reopen it again, it will take less time to open compared to when you opened it the first time.
Power-Supply: Example: XFX Pro series 850W, it’s the device that powers your systems components by converting your main’s power into PC power (220V/110V ~ 3.3V/5V/12V, but I won’t go into details here obviously)
Graphics card(s): Example: MSI Radeon HD7950, a graphics card has a GPU (Graphical processing unit) which I won’t go into technical details here, but know that the faster this thing is, the better you will be able to run games.
Boot drive: Example: Crucial M4 256GB SSD, That’s the device where your operating system is, just like that, where you find the “windows” folder is (or the “root” folder for any Fedora or Linux Debian users)
Storage drive(s): Example: 1 TB Hitachi 7200 rpm 16mb Cache, Any drives that are different than your boot drive.
Optical drive: Example: LG blue ray drive, it’s a DVD drive or Blu-ray drive or whatever of the sort. Simply put, the thing that reads your CDs and DVDs (or for the rich folks, your Blu-ray Disks )
Chassis: Example: CoolerMaster Cosmos II, Your metal or plastic case, the cover for your system’s components, or simply put, the box that you see and where the system components are put inside.
Display(s): Your monitor, or simply put, the screen where you are reading this here text (if we neglect the possibility of you reading this on phone or not on your pc)
Mouse: Your mouse…
Keyboard: The thing with keys and that clicks…
Sound Device(s): Example: Logitech G930 wireless headset, the device you use to listen to things when on your computer.
PC usage purpose: Example: gaming, rendering, image processing, voice engineering etc…
Planned upgrades: Example: I want to get a new graphics card. What do you guys suggest I get ?

Q:
How to get exact model numbers and specifications? I noticed many cannot figure out the details of their systems so here is a small guide on how to know what your computer is. Whether it's because you never bothered or simply because you don't know, here is how you can see how to check the components:
CPU, motherboard and RAM can be checked using a simple neat software called CPU-Z (Credit goes to CPUID, which is the company and group of developers that made it):
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html Graphics cards using this GPU-Z developed by the developers of Techpowerup forums :
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2198/techpowerup-gpu-z-v0-6-7/ Power-supply, chassis and Optical drives ( some Optical drives can but not all ) cannot be known through software, and thus you need to look to the actual thing itself to know ( or obviously the receipt if you bought it yourself )
You can show off your specifications of your computer, and you can also ask for hardware help here !
