Guys about the JailBreak server, it laggs out every few mins it just freezes and some players lag out and come back by reconnecting, it's really annoying please fix it!

It might be ddos or flood.

@raven - I like this

Swiss have a good location as it is more in the centre of Europe.
I will gain a bit of latency but if our new host will be dealing with "the stuff", then I'm really happy ^^

I have a higher ping than in UK and France based servers

Nearly 70, and I get 50 in servers hosted in the UK...
Anyway good job, hope its a change for the well-being of the community

P.S: Is it normal to have such pings :O

You cannot stop the attacks, once ddosed you're going to have to take it all. BUT, with the use of a vpn it redirects the attacks to somewhere empty.

If it has a firewall, it depends on how much it can withstand. If the attack is very powerful (not going to mention the attack type for safe reasons) it can even take the oxford servers down :p

Just a question. Im travelling to the US , chicago after 15 days. How much do you expect from the ping to be there ?

pings are afflicted more by your ISP then the distance, i've seen people from the U.S getting an ping of only 60 to europe location servers, yes distance has an role but with the current connections it's safe to say that the ISP has an big part into it, he provides the cable from your house to the internet, if that cable is bad then GG you.

if you have fiber optics and live near an exchance center, you will have very low pings.. i live 50 KM of Amsterdam which has the AMX-IS center, is easy to get pings of 4/5 to UK while playing games.

you don't have to believe me about my own pings, but what i wrote here is 100% true. cables are everything now, imagine having fiber optics everywhere in the world. ping of only 110 to antartica for example..

as to stay ontopic... this is an announcement to provide info about the new IP's to ambrosia, not a support or helpdesk topic regarding pings or discussion what ping you will have from an certain country...

Is just a matter of balancing the security features. Should be resolved today..

Nothing. Servers and bans are seperate, by means of a database

I have no complains about my ping since it's very good and no lag. But the server sometimes shows me Valve_Id_Lan , -> on many other players also. This must be fixed and i have no idea how.

i keep lagging out without lag in jb server..
can u fix this problem ?
