Oh I will love this thread! Since the lockdown Netflix, BBC and Prime Video has become our main entertainment.

1) - How to get away with murder (HTGAWM). Stumbled on reddit posts mentioning it and binged it in a few days. The script, execution and finale are just unseen. Who knew I would be so passionate about some teen drama but it is one of the best shows imho.

2) - Chernobyl. HBO nailed it by showing westerners the good and the bad about soviets. I am considered as Chernobyl kid myself as my mom was preggo when cloud went over Latvia. The suspense ... boom..

3) - Black Mirror. There is no wondering why it has a cult following. I am a part of this cult. Makes you think. A lot.

4) - Derry Girls. HA, my mrs is laughing for the fact that a guy in my mid 30's is loving this tv show that I just seen by chance and fell in love. For me as a foreigner in UK and barely knowing anything about the troubles (80's in Northern Ireland were really bloody), gives a good insight and understanding. Cleverly written jokes and characters make me laugh throughout every episode. One note is that most likely you will need subtitles.

5) - Many many more tv shows, many mentioned above but missed a bit to be on the list.

Currently watching Prison Break for the second time. It's amazing, although they kinda messed up the fifth season. It didn't need to happen.

I also really liked La Casa De Papel, a true masterpiece.

Yeah and there won't be another season of Prisonbreak, I don't understand how people can watch series twice. How?

I've not added Prison Break and Black Mirror so here it is.

yeah Dominic Purcell made a bold statement re s6 and then later withdrew it... I really hoped they would go on even s5 was so messed up.

I loved watching Prison Break for the first time, I found all 5 seasons amazing. Then, I watched it for the 2nd time a year ago but I stopped after the 3rd season. Seasons 1 and 2 are really good (1>2). 3rd is still okay (although unnecessary). 4th is the season that I just can't rewatch.

La Casa De Papel suffers from the same issue than Prison Break. First season (which was split into 2 seasons by Netflix) is really good. The problem comes after this season. The 3rd season I still enjoyed it. The 4th however was so unnecessarily long.

I advise you to watch Breaking Bad if you haven't yet, this series is awesome from the beginning till the end (no episode is useless, except maybe 1). Fringe is also awesome.

I watched Breaking Bad a year ago. I suppose the "one" episode you're talking about is the fly one..

Im finding that Netflix tends to kill tv shows. Polit-correctness? Like PB s5, one I can mention is Designated Survivor. It was quite interesting idea and not that bad ABC show, but Netflix tried really hard by adding cringe characters like black gay couple, non binary it specialist etc.. It was just too much of unrealistic characters in a realistic world set out. Same as PBs5. Way too out of ordinary pace of criminals trying to avoid being caught. Lucifer is the same, 1st 3 seasons (before Netflix acquisition) were great and fun to watch. Ive stopped sometime there..

tl;dr

Netflix employs Game of Thrones s8 script writers.
