Cancelling DayZ, What next?
« on: February 21, 2019, 03:04:49 am »
Hey! Just posting here to let you all know we'll be closing the DayZ Server, After a dozen of failed attempts to advertise the servers on diffrent forums, Pay for a advertisement banner on a couple of em with no avail

So, What is next?

We could expand upon minecraft~ Introduce more game-modes and/or servers ( With this we could do tournaments on minecraft, like a build contest. winner could win like a premium minecraft account [for example])
There are many game servers we can do, feel free to leave your suggestions down.

You mean, revive the server?
Or cancel it?

Replacing the current CSGO server with 1vs1 64 tick and Not 128 tick would be another good idea since We haven’t seen any new player joining except from it.

What are these terrible suggestions lol

1) Opening 1,.6 servers is a waste of money. You're never going to fill them without buying boosts which immediately nullify after they run out. You keep maybe 1 player per $20.
2) Why would you downgrade a 128tick server to 64 lol? Nobody willingly plays on 64 tick servers when they can choose a 128 one.

That being said, if you want popularity, you can try either another minecraft server, try expanding into Gmod but that is not an easy task either or just do some complete wildcard out of leftfield like Chivalry, Sniper Elite 4 or idk.

i wouldnt open any new server untill current servers became filled, or raise their activity drastically

researching on net, CSGO and Minecraft are always in top10 popular online games.  maybe trying to find online cheap (or free) games, so  everybody can install and play them, without wasting a lot of money

too late for jb server its soo outdated (no offence to anyone who worked on it) , i've tried other jailbreak servers and they're 100x time better than ours lets be real , am comparing it to plugins , special days  , our server is not a good experience  it needs  a different mod than tonys one  it was a good mod back in the day but it feels soo freakin boring with the same shit we had years ago.

A gmod server would be a pretty good choice . . . after we filled the servers we currently have.
I really doubt we would get any significant amount of players if we opened one just now.

I have said it several times, even i did a topic long ago, expend to Garrys mod! You have multiple servers to choose and the game is actually a populated game,  not a forgotten one, and yea you can try/remove cs 1.6 servers, get populated cs:go one and once we have dne that stage advance to the new one which would be open a new server because if you work on a new server new you will not work in the other servers you have, at least you wont give the attention/time it requires (from my personal point of view)

Also remove DayZ, teamspeak (focusing in discord), and casual, and as  i said both cs 1.6 server, focus on cs:go and then garrys mod

So from what I have seen the ambro 64-Tick arena has 10 players at max, because everybody switched to the 128-Tick server for good reason.

Our 64 tick server has more players because its been around longer, Plan was to migrate all 64 ticker's over to the 128 but instead they both populated. so we've kept both~ Eventually we'll launch more 1v1 servers. we just need to resolve the lag issue that occurs

And What garrys mod gamemode?
I personally loved something called HarborRP Back in the day. Don't know what garrys mod ya'll want. feel free to suggest

The most populated are the DarkRP and TTT but we cannot do that as it requires loyal players (first get the server populated and then make them loyal, difficult) so in my opinion we can do others servers which could be easier to get ppl in it, such as PropHunt and Murder. Both are quite cool and it doesnt require loyal players, just random players to join in it. These are the most known mods but you have a huge range of mods xD

Actually I would say it's probably a good idea to do some mode that's relatively unknown or better said, that not a lot of communities cover.

eg. gmod fishing, attack on titan and so on.

Phantoms lol.

My opinion is that focusing on 1.6 and mods related to it in other games too(like CSGO) will only keep getting us down. I agree with Rawrplus tbh, get smth new that other communities might have missed, and DayZ with Rust could have gone much better of only people joined the giveaways to PLAY the game, not increase their Steam accoint worth so they can sell it one day.
