CS:GO - Danger Zone
« on: December 07, 2018, 05:41:12 am »

Introducing Danger Zone —a fast-paced battle royale game mode built on CS:GO’s tactical gameplay where players use their wits, skill, and resources to fight to the finish. Play solo, or work together as a squad of two or three!

CS:GO is now FREE TO PLAY
So there’s never been a better time to bring in your friends.

All players who played CS:GO before today’s update will receive a commemorative Loyalty Badge they can display on their profile. You were there from the beginning, so show it off! Additionally, all existing CS:GO players have had their accounts upgraded to Prime Status.

As before, Prime Status matches you with other Prime Status players. Additionally, your Prime Status will give you access to the new Souvenir MP5-SD | Lab Rats (available by earning XP while playing Danger Zone matches) and the all new Danger Zone Case.

Danger Zone Case
The Danger Zone Case features 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Horizon knives as rare special items. Click here for more details.

A new game mode, a new case, and CS:GO is free. What are you waiting for?
GO! GO! GO!

The new update has a lot of bugs and crashes. They could fix the already existing game instead of this  ::)

Cs is a first person shooter not a fucking battle royale lol
Sad to see valve hopping on the battle royale train.

Plus I dont think anyone would play this next to pubg and fortnite, and fortnite is free too.

i was curious about this mode, so i reinstalled CSGO after 1 year maybe. it´s cool and different, from classic CS. games are very fast (not even 5 mins per game), and i didnt catch any hacker still, so i guess i will play this from time to time.

CS:GO goes free, as if we didn't have enough hackers and smurfs already. Does anyone know if it will stay F2P permanently?  If so, I am seriously considering the uninstall option..

Also, everyone keeps jumping at the BR wagon, doubt Valve will prevail.. considering they've been showering with money the last years.

It is free to play with non prime. all accounts u have are prime now. If u wanna be prime u gotta buy it so technically prime only stays prime only.
Even though all accounts prior to the update got free prime status. I got 4 prime status with only 1 with a phone number attached to it.

the prime matchmaking is still behind the paywall

f2p status for non-prime matchmaking will change nothing if you've been already playing csgo for a bit
My main concern is newer players, while f2p system and the battleroyale mode will undoubtedly bring new people in, they'll eventually want to try the prime status.
They will be met with 2 matches per day allowed to achieve a rank, all the while slugging through with cheaters because they can't achieve the prime status yet

TLDR:
New players come, try matchmaking and leave
But ultimately, nothing will change for us that already have the game

This is complete shit.
Giving away prime accounts is complete bullshit. As if we didnt have enough prime cheaters already, they had to push other non-prime hackers into prime.

It's possible to make a Fortnite looking gamemode with some plugins. not sure if you can make a dedicated BR server

Lmao they just want to make it free like fortnite... Shame on them, they must create new things instead of following the battle royale train

They made it partial free. If u wanna play against good players u still have to pay for prime. With Prime it is just better to play either way even before it got free.
Never the less it gives a huge influence on the game and with more players and more revenue for the company they can eventually do more.

After the second update, I don't find any bugs and whole game is working properly. I have low end pc and I get 20 fps but still it is fun when you are carried by this pleb :D

Should we talk about the fact that before, to get the prime status, the only thing we had to do was adding phone number to the steam account?
Which means that we can still play against hackers who have the prime status on cs:go
(if I'm not wrong)

main reason i quited CSGO after 200 hours played was a lot of hackers in Casual servers

now is f2p, so u say more hackers will join.... and most of u have played 1.6 vs multiple hackers and non steamers for years.....  8)

casual is like a HvH server!

You should've joined like a retake server to get a good feeling of the game.

The only time you play casual is in the 1st 2 ranks of your csgo journey, once you've reached rank 2 you're ready for competitive
