A rather small cs issue
« on: November 18, 2018, 06:45:16 pm »
It's not a huge issue, i can live with it, but it's very annoying.

here goes: whenever i open cs the "enhance pointer precision" gets automatically ticked in the mouse settings,
this thing:
Spoiler (hover to show)
it only ticks itself when i launch 1.6, not any other game.
and it stays like that untill i alt tab out of cs and disable it, after which it ticks itself again when i go back to cs.
it's annoying and affects my aiming a lot because i never use that setting, its terrible.
i tried many things suggested online but none helped, if anyone knows how to fix this or is experiencing the same issue please let me know.

Tried enabling raw mouse input? I suppose it didn't work? If not, try running cs as administrator and try again.

not sure, but ur cfg could have changed, or maybe ur mouse drivers
try:
cl_mousegrab 0
m_rawinput 0
Put these two commands (cl_mousegrab and m_rawinput) to “0″ to remove mouse acceleration

or it´s Andrew´ suggestion ¿?   :-[

ive had this issue for a year now, but i didnt play cs much during that time, only recently i kinda got back into it.
in the meantime i changed motherboard, upgraded to windows 10 and bought a new mouse. no idea why it's still here.

@Drunky there are a lot of results on google about this, so i guess is a common problem. i hope some of these help u:

https://www.hltv.org/forums/threads/310000/enhance-pointer-precision-help

and this:

Enhance Pointer Precision keeps turning off or on
Please remember that there is no permanent solution to turn it on or off. If you see that the option is turning itself On or Off, again and again, the culprit could be the software related to your mouse. In that case, it is better to remove any mouse enhancing software you may have installed. For example, one such software is IntelliPoint that promises to improve the accuracy of your mouse.

If you wish, you may tweak your registry and see if it helps. Run  regedit and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse

MouseSpeed, MouseThreshold1, and MouseThreshold2 determine when and to what extent cursor speed accelerates when the mouse moves rapidly.

When the mouse moves slowly, the system moves the cursor at a constant rate that is directly proportional to the rate at which the mouse moves. But if the mouse moves faster than the value of MouseThreshold1 or MouseThreshold2, the system can respond by accelerating the movement of the cursor, so that the cursor moves two or four times as fast as the mouse.
