Admin Activity Policy

We accept the admin applications with the expectation that the addition of new members to the team will help provide better coverage for the server. But, sadly, most of the admins disappear without any notice after being accepted. Such attitude has compelled us to think that admin position has been taken for granted. We know that everyone has a personal life outside of gaming. Totally understandable.  But, what is the point of being in the admin rank when someone can't fulfill his/her responsibilities or does not even bother to notify about the inactivity? In fact, such trend might discourage other active admins who have been responsible consistently. Thought like “If other admins do not care, why should I be the only one giving a damn?” can be dangerously contagious. In order to solve the issue, we are implementing the following policies for maintaining an adminship at DD2 server:

Policies: An admin should have the MINIMUM overall record of 10 hours activity per month i.e. at the rate of 20 minutes per day. We will be tracking the admin activity on the website every month. If an admin will fail to meet the activity requirement mentioned in policy  1, a warning will be issued against him/her. After receiving a warning mentioned in Policy 2, the admin will get 5 days to complete the required activity hours. If the admin cannot meet the requirement in policy 3, he/she shall be demoted. Exception: If an admin has important events like exams or anything of that sort, he/she must make a topic about inactivity. But the duration of inactivity, in this case, should be up to 2 months max. For longer duration, admin application can be filed later.Remember. if anyone tries to abuse this policy, his/her case will be dealt differently.

Please understand that these policies are not meant for imposing strict rules for maintaining adminship. Instead, the main agenda is to maintain a certain level of discipline for the solidity of admin position.
