Hey all,

Since last friday? Or something around that time, we have experienced a major DDOSS attack to both Servers and Forum. Who it is? It's Sober-Guy who is doing this as revenge/blackmailing to get money out of us. He has made a vendetta for Ambrosia to shut it down and he has blackmailed us to pay 500 Euros in order to stop. Which we will not do. We do not negotiate with terrorists. As it stands, we have filed a report to Interpol against Cyber crime, blackmailing, threatening and DDossing.

We are also looking to get a new Dedicated Server with a stronger protection against such attacks and as you can see we are working on forum protection as well, which doesn't work quite well yet, but will be fixed as soon as possible by @Red Wolf .

We are looking at some changes to our security and take any measures we can, but as saying this, the server down time because of it, might be at least a month. Ambrosia isn't going anywhere and we are doing all we can at this stage! Apologies for inconveniences.

The servers are turned off until further notice.

I really can't believe such people exist.
He won the 1st place in the tournament, most likely by cheating, got the award, got caught cheating and now he is blackmailing ambrosia cause he got caught cheating ?

But anyway in the begining i really thought he was a nice guy and i couldnt belive that he were hacking and i got a little bit disapointed. but after all this shit, now i know what kind of guy he really is. long live ambrosia!

Sober Guy? don't he was a donator or somethings like that? Why hell shit he come attack us now ?
I've already expended somes DDoSS attacks like that in my old forum (actually OFF) , and unfortunately, the only way for me to stop DDoSS has been to blocking is country from accessing to our forum or even the continent if needed, but i know that will be annoying somebodys innocent ...

Well, I can say that forums are somehow safer now. I can say that he wont be fully able to hack them or put them down for a very long time, but after all, we are just some people who love to contribute to a community, and he is paying money (its like 90% sure he is) to put us down and those doing it are professionals, and there is not much we can do, but I can say that no matter what, we have done our best, and hopefully will continue to do our best.
