[Tutorial] How to record a demo
« on: May 17, 2017, 10:46:00 pm »
Steps to record demo:

1) Ensure that you are in server.
2) Open up your console by pressing " ` " (the button right beneath Esc button).
3) Type rec and press ENTER. A list of currently-in-game players will appear on the left side of your screen.
4) Choose the player that you want to record by pressing the number right beside his name. Your demo has now started.
5) Once you recorded everything you need, type done to stop the demo.

Now, after all these steps, you need to find the location of the demo recorded.

Steam users:
PC/Windows (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/cstrike.

Non steam:
PC/Windows (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Valve/cstrike. It could vary depending on where you installed the game.

Your demo will be saved in the cstrike folder. The demo name is nothing but the steam ID of the player recorded.
Example: steam_0_0_1495483505_1483028406
