Yep, I find the switch between each subforums and then back to the main forum pretty painful currently. I'm really not a fan and honestly, I like having an overview of the whole forum at once so I know what is active and what isn't and I can read what interests me.
Feeling the same here, going to each section to check unread threads while before one button gave me all the unread threads for the whole forum.
Maybe just have the recent unread topics hook to all the sections, than having each section use it's own sandboxed functions?(probably other functionalities are now sandboxed to their sections).

A very high percentage of functions are "sandboxed" to their sections (subforums).
We are working on unread topics from all subforums.

So, Global Unread Posts is now added. Now you will be able to show unread posts of all subforums. Keep in mind that any action taken in "All unread topics",  "Recent unread topics" or "Global Unread Posts" will affect all the pages mentioned above.

Probably for lazy asses who wont check this topic, and are wondering what "global unread" is  :D. Hover the question mark, and ull see the explanation.

Just a sidenote. Why not just type the whole game out? Counterstrike 1.6 - Counterstrike : Global Offensive.
This looks so cheap and not appealing in my eyes.
Never the less that i rather have everything on one forum like Maki and PL said.

Why's everyone saying it's bad? It's not bad. It's just useless.

I'm guessing its due to the arma server and whatnot.

tbh should've just given them there own forum instead of mess up this counter-strike related forum.  There's allot of communities which support more then 5 games and they have one forum for it all, and it looks a hella more appealing then the current ambrosia forum :(

Oh, and don't you think the "global unread posts" is going to be a big clogged? You want to give each game it's own dedicated forum so the users who are solely interested in minecraft don't have to see the CSGO boards and whatnot, yet you make a global unread posts where they WILL see the CSGO topics and posts.  ::)

It all comes down to what you are used to. This is a new integration and we are making it better and smoother. Sooner or later you wouldn't want it any other way I promise. Change is always good for the soul and we are always looking to change the way we are working. It crossed our minds to make seperate forums for arma and such, but to be fair we might move 1.6 back to main page, but at the end of the day this is all trial and we will see what we can do. Also if we did a forum for arma, we would have to do that for minecraft and so on, it just isn't great and finding the right balance of integration is the key. IF we do not find the right balance we will go with what some have suggested actually as it was a simple way of doing it with childboards, but you don't get the nice features we want although it is fine, we want a nicer way of doing it. If anything that would be plan B. Will have to see.

Actually :D Global are for me and others who want to see everything, but for page one, if you are in lets say CSGO page and click on - "Recent unread topics" it will only show you all the CSGO unread topics only. The name needs to change tho, as I am sure you didn't know that :D It will be something like "current page unread topics" or something down the line.

Well, about different forums, that would take a lot of time and resources. And what's more, users would need to register to each game's forum they like, making it impractical and pain in the ass. What we have done is something simpler, many features are shared among subforums and many others localized. A few examples are: signatures, personal texts, messages.
Localised: unread topics, themes, categories.

About what's more appealing, well, when we changed forum theme, owners, staff, trust me, it was so hard to get used to it (at least to me). And thats probably the same case. (im not saying im a fan of it).
Its a pretty good idea and I bet we wont be the only community having this feature.

The global unread is basically "All unread topics", but globalised (from all subforums). I find it hard switching from one subforum to another just to check unread topics, and others find it useless to have to read unread topics from other subforums.
