AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF AMBROSIA CHANGES 2016[/plainbox]

Hey Ambrosian Staff/Members, as you have seen we've had some host problems that we've needed to apologise for the time that you've had to wait. Every option we had was taken away from us in resolving the issue but things are back under control now. I would like to thanks everyone for their patience and their loyalty to ambrosia in light of recent events. But other then that here are the changes that are coming into ambrosia. Get ready take a drink because there will be a lot of reading .


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 1 [New Dedicated Box][/plainbox]
[plainbox]Well why did we decide to change dedibox?

Our main issues was with the lag and the choke that our old dedibox had caused which at the start we hadn't brought it down to. Both these issues was something that was getting on everyones nerves and we were slowly losing the quality of the servers as it was getting worse everyday. So we thought that its time to move on to a better dedibox to provide the foundations on our improvements. The new dedicated box is around 2 times as fast with improvements on the areas our other one was lacking.
Our issue primarily was one with payment, not for the price but how we paid and this eventually caused the first issue that we had to resolve. The support our host was giving us, though we've been with them for years was nothing short of dreadful and we eventually decided to let them go.[/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 2 [Forums theme][/plainbox]
[plainbox]While working on the issue behind the scenes with the, then, hosts our primary goal was the forums as this was up and running briiliantly. Our first idea was to bring in a new updated theme that still speaks ambrosia but updates it from the plain one that we're all so accustomed to. Our primary goal looking for the new theme was do we need to change the software? We concluded that we don't as SMF hasn't caused us any major problems and it's flexibility is brilliant for our needs. The looks we hoped to try keep with the traditional dark theme of our old forums but update it's features to bring our forums back into the 21st century. We're open to criticism about the new forums and hope that you'll enjoy it just as much as we do with all the added features it includes. It looks way better and it shouts gaming. So guys and girls i hope you enjoy the great work that the high staff has done during the period that the servers were down. Thanks everyone. [/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 3 [Ambrosia Servers CS 1.6 & CS:GO][/plainbox]
[plainbox]As you all know about our expansion into CS:GO we're going to continue this progression with laying down the framework for our old Aim and Deathmatch server but even more excitingly we'll be working on the Jailbreak server, which if problems don't arise and header gets off his arse ( ) will be up and running within the next two weeks. We still have other ambitions for CS:GO but these are main priorities for the time being.

Public Server CS 1.6 :

Well we've been talking about it for months now and unfortunately with a sad heart we're going to let the public server go, financially it required alot of boosting and we've the constant loss of playerbase over the last year or so we've decided to put an end to an era and say goodbye the public server. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about Burzum.[/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 4 [Ambrosia Staff Team][/plainbox]
[plainbox] Our staff team has been a topic as of late and as such we're going to address the problems and hopefully move onwards and upwards.

Rubix : Will be removed from our staff team due to his long period inactivity.

Dominic : Will be removed from the head admin positions of both servers due to lack of interest.

I would like to thank them for their work they have done as members of the staff team and we've appreciated all they've contributed. [/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 5 [Ambrosia Staff Addition][/plainbox]
[plainbox]We have plans for the surf server, we swear.[/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 6 [Ambrosia Hall Of Fame][/plainbox]
[plainbox]As you all have seen, we used to have the Hall Of Fame for years, but now we seem to never use it and there are people who genuinely need to be in here. So its time to bring it back and add those people who have been helping Ambrosia now for some time. And also the people who helped us in past that we feel need to be in here.

People that will be added are :

@___ÇλŠקΣя.___ Though he hasn't left, we obviously had to put our first person in the hall of fame to casper. His continued support for ambrosia is unparalleled and although his activity as of late isn't up the point of which he'd like it to be, due to his outside life it's been difficulty for him to do so but we still appreciate him.
@Burzum Well who'd have thought he'd be in here? Honestly, For those of you who doesn't know burzum he's brillaint and one of our longest standing members to ambrosia and his loyalty to us is 100% so a huge thankyou goes out to him.

There'll be more going in here.

[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 7 [Unban & Report Panel] [/plainbox]
[plainbox]Well nothing much to say about Unban & Report Panel.

These will work a little differently with each of these groups having an in group leader of which will accept new people while also leading the group standards of fair decisions and actions. These will be decided at a later date. However, Emporers and community leaders still reserve the right to overturn decisions made with the leaders of said groups.[/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 8 [Universe Creator] [/plainbox]
[plainbox]The Universe Creator's name will be changed to Community Curator.

We've been talking about this subject for some time now and we felt the name didn't serve it's purpose in what the group did so we felt like renaming it might help the community understand what these people do.The definition of 'Curator' is keeper or handler and this we felt was a proper definition of what our current UC's do and should do. We thing that this sounds better and more appropriate to it's title.Plus it finally means something and doesn't just sound cool.[/plainbox]


[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 9 [Bank Transfer System] [/plainbox]
[plainbox]Our current payment methods have become easier with the addition of bank transfer all payments accepted by are: Maestro, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Vire Transfer, Sofort Banking. Anyone wishing to do so will be apart of our VIP and should only need to contact Roni

[plainbox]Ambrosia Update Nr 10 [Admin List Refresh] [/plainbox]
[plainbox]Due to our 1 month down we have been looking around and thinking many admins have been inactive for months and we have decided to refresh the admin staff list. But don't worry if you are active and were active you have 2 weeks to contact the high staff team to get your admin back in the server you were admin.
