Heya! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

who's drn?
I'm a rather old school cs player who used to be an admin here on ambrosia until I resigned when unable to balance double work shifts, real life and maintain a level of activity here on ambrosia that I was happy with. Thankfully things have settled down again and I have more time for the things I love! Heres an old guide I wrote for setting up cs correctly, some of which has changed since the updates in 2014 but maybe the fundamentals are still useful.

Congratulations! What about CS:GO, you still play it?
I stopped playing CSGO when I hit Supreme and having played 6 matches in a row against cheats felt burnt out on it. At that time they kept buffing the pistols over and over which compounded my frustration at how weak the M4 feels (no single headshot kill?!) and the completely altered spray patterns of all the assault rifles compared to 1.6. In my eyes to be playing at your best you have to pick one counterstrike game and immerse yourself in it, I find 1.6 feels far more natural to me, but I do envy the shiny graphics, more frequent VAC updates and ongoing developer input that CS:GO has at the moment.
