two suggested rules for JB
« on: May 28, 2015, 07:07:40 pm »
hey guys :

the first one is for admins :

as many of you guys know that alot of admins in jb transfer them selfs to the ct team and play alone against 14-16 even 17 players sometimes . because they can handle it and get a new record ( most of them trying to beat @P o p a y record 1-17 =)
in my opinion its selfish and i  dont like it  . well a lot of people dont like it , because we get tired of the same guy commanding over and over while there is some players who can actually  command rlly good and add some fun and play alot of different games  . they just need a chance

i think admins in JB should atleast put 2 cts with them . because JB is a fun mode not a rank mode

and the second one if for the commanders :

you all know that i have been playing jb for like 3 years now .and one of the things that i have noticed in all the commanders is that most of their freekills were supposed to be a warningshots
maybe 3 years ago the commanders didnt have a commandermenu wich includes a healing option . and they coudnt take the risk and let the prisonners heal in the gunroom or any other room
but now they do have one in our server and i think they must use it all the times

thats why i think that the commander must always heal the prisonners to avoid freekilling . as long as :
- there is no prisonner rebeling
- the cts  got 80-100 hp ( or they can reach a healing spot easely like in jb_snow  or jail_rehab  )

please this is a suggestion that i want to discuss
please reply with your opinions and correct me if im wrong

I agree with the first rule. About the 2nd one, I think it is usually done by many commanders unless they think that the Ts will rebel while following him (this usually happens) so making it a rule is not compulsory as it depends on the commander's will.

First rule Is cool, but the second one Is also cool but not cooler than the first one ;) Because Ts will be able to rebel more often and easier, and let's say that the commander has 30 hp, and all the Ts have 40 hp. And they are playing on a map where there is no healing place, than I don't think that he should heal all the Ts because they will just Rush him and kill him with 1 stab. So obviously CTs have to be more careful and smart before healing. And all the Ts should really stop spamming the chat "Heal Us", It's the CTs that decides not the Ts. That's my opinion.

If the administrator is sure of himself that he can handle x-amount of people as long as the score doesn't say otherwise it's not selfish. But if the handling is based on doing completely crappy days with zero creativity then he shouldn't even been a administrator. I never was a fan of administrators just being administrators without contributing something new to the daylist/gamelist, they are basically freeloading their badge and don't deserve the entitlement. And no other qualities you have can compensate for doing repetitive and utmost atrocious days.
Before 2013, every single admin had his unique and creative days.

Popay still holds the record of 1-31 people on a special event we had called solo commanding in which strong ct's competed for t's score to not exceed more than 4, 2 days were something brand new, with 1 hns and 1 cell day and the auxiliary special day where the ct played the special day by himself. Popay is still holding the record with snap being second, mr.goodmood and arne sharing third. But all of it was done under speical circumstances and the former emperor arne scheduling that event on the map jail_west which was the most flattest and wide map that ct's could command from meters away. So you had room for being creative and not worry about rebelling. If some administrators are trying to beat that record, I strongly suggest to not even try with the current placeholder that is jailbreak with anyone being a ct and boring everybody to death. And blaming that the prisoners are responsible for killing their creativity by them rebelling... NO! YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DO SOMETHING NEW IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING!

The most closest thing to that is Chaka because I can't keep up with his different mixes of days and games that I always prefer to have him as a ct than anyone else. It's basically renegade of 2015. And I loathe at rankers and people that think having 70 kills makes them good commanders or ct's, Jailbreak doesn't give 2 F***s about your kills, it's your ability to crowd control and be indifferent to other cts.

With that offtopic out of the way, I disapprove of administrators trying to take on the server with the most repetitive and average days/games at their will. At the moment the ratio rule is 1:3/1:2, I don't think you should sharpen it so it's a "must" for administrators to put 2 other individuals with himself without the consort of how many t's are in the server. But is "encourage-able" to guarantee that you will do something "special" 3 times per map to satisfy that in that day the prisoners are prepared and alive so that "special" day is put to the test.

You won't see me agreeing that we must heal the prisoners because if they received a warning shot it's meant that they tried doing something and are "warned" to cease doing that or else to die by the stacks of warning shot they will get. And warning shots should be of caliber of ak or m16 shot in the leg, not headshots or awp shots. The healing option was added just for FFA by traditional ruleset and it should stay like that.

It was more than 17, check PL.. That day was perfect ;D ;D ;D

1. Ok so, advice to most of the admins from me: If you want to be CT, be CT, but also put with you another 2,3 guys (depending on ratio) and motivate them to command. I do the same, I go CT, and tell via teamchat to CTs to command, so they can get experience and so on. With this you are not only helping the players but you are helping to build a strong jb server when there are no admins available.

So Conclusion: I agree with this rule, Admins put a few CTs and do not interrupt their gameplay/commanding. However it's common sense not a rule. If you want to be a respected admin you have respect the rest of the players.

2. Let's say most of the players didn't do my command? So I gave them few warning shots in order for them to complete. However 3 out of 5 got 50 damage and the rest 2 got 20 damage. Afterwards if we play last man standing in a room, I DON'T WANT TO HEAL THEM, because their damage is their choice not mine. If they did my command, I would have not shot them a few times, and they would have 100 hp.

So Conclusion: I disagree with the second one, because its Ts fault if they got warning shots, and not my fault, so if they want to be healed, they should have thought firstly not to get shot.

looks like the first rule must be applied like a cumon sense
sadly some admins does not share  the same cumon sense with all do respect
thats why i would like it to be added as an official rule so atleast when i see an admin doing it i can defend my self with a rule

im still waiting for your opinions about the second suggestion cuz looks like popay and PL are already changing my mind about it

thank you so much for your time

I think there should be a rule where you do a vote on who is CT unless only 1/2 people wants CT.

Admins are only picking their friends, and thinking "new people does not know the rules", how would we know if they never went CT.

But keep in mind, The new people wont have many friends either, So most likely no player will vote for them

Exactly.

ADMINS DO GIVE NEW PLAYERS A CHANCE..

No one notices new players like admins do. So what CoiN says doesn't make any sense for me.
Doing a vote for example: 1. RandomPlayer 2. [J]ake 3. KILLER 4. WARRIOR , how do you think will end? Who will be the winner? (Ofcourse n. 2 !)

Admins need freedom in their choices for who to put CT. That's the advantage of Admins, and none of the admins has abused that, like CoiN says. Next time provide evidence and report them.

Admins often choose cts from whom we know has an steady microphone, Understanding of rules & Is an alright CT In general ~
If we were to put a ct with an server filled with bouts .. 15-20 people, we would have to sit and try to learn this new ct everything While other 15-20 wants to play instead of waiting for an " Noob " To learn how to be a ct

Yesterday we were bouts 7-8 people, A new guy joined & asked to be ct ~ I gave him an chance ( FREE_PAL ) and hes mic is alright & knows english but is horrible at commanding.. Came into the cage, Doesnt count down ~ ETC.
And also, Not always new people requestin to be ct by sayin Me

Ofcourse it will take some time for a new guy to experience and learn commanding. If he cant just let him stay ct and make him watch and learn. Pretty much bored playing with same commanders again and again

The first suggest is a good one, and only a few commanders want to command alone which it is boring sometimes, but some commanders are different. Let's take for example Ultor. Ultor likes to command alone and I am quite impressed how sometimes he manages to do it, he is a good commander, a creative commander, and never saw him doing the same game over and over, while Ultor is a commander everyone has fun. I don't believe that he does it for score/record, it's only the way he likes to command.
Well, this is a good suggestion, and on my opinion it would be good to add it as a rule.

The second suggest is a good one to, and most of the commanders heal the prisoners everytime they got low HP. But it has its bad side. The reason that I am saying this is; if this becomes a rule the chat on the server will be always spammed by players saying "heal me" over and over. It would be better if the commander heals the prisoners whenever he wants to.

The first rule will be discussed at the next JB meeting. @Andrew~ @Mr.Roomantic Don't forget it.  :-*

The second rules will not be accepted nor discussed because there is no point in giving ws if in the end we heal all of them.

Moved to accepted because of the first rule.
