Sat here playing Counter strike: Global offensive, Getting achievement after Achievement - Being the pro that i usually am~
Which made me think of something that would be cool to have on ambrosia.
Hear me out..

Since the servers are connected through Ban System, How bout you get it Connected though Achievements? Heck even hook the forums up.
So people can try out diffrent things, Find interests in other things, In other servers so our playerbase gets spread out, More people on diffrent servers, Diffrent people on diffrent servers

Like:

Dust2 Achievements:
Achieve a killstreak of 25 - To Achieve Grenades four/Five rounds ( Whatever you'd prefer ) and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]
Or whatever.
Achieve a killstreak of 50 - To Achieve The Gun Menu ( All Weapons ) Four/Five rounds (Whatever you'd prefer ) and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Save an Team Mate from enemy fire by killing the Enemy with an HE Grenade - To achieve 50+ Health bonus / Health Regeneration for 15 secounds once hit by a bullet and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Get an Ace on the enemy team - To Recive 100+ Health & 100+ Armour [ 200 Health & Armour Total ] ( Or more, Whatever would make fit ) and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]
Public Achievements:
Get 100/200/500/1000 Headshots [ 100/200/500/1000 Headshots on each map of Public ] ( This is a suggestion, So the Achievements are ofcoures fully Editable ) - To Achieve Fireworks shots out of your player upon round victory And a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Fire 10000/100000 Shots into enemy / 10000 shots in general ( Which can be abused by going on the server and shooting randomly while no one is there or just to get a friend as a target [Probaly smart to make this only able to get when theres 4+ people on the server] ) - To Achieve Weapon skins ( ETC ) And a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Kill 100/200/500/1000 Enemies with a knife - To Achieve Custom Knife Skins and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Surf Achievements:
Fly/surf a total of 100/200/500/1000 Miles/Meters/Kilometers/millimeters? - To Achieve a rainbow Trail and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Kill 100/200/500/1000 Enemies While flying (or whatever) To Achieve Nyan Cat Bullet trail and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

Throw a total of 100/200/500/1000 Grenades (Or whatever) - To Achieve A Starter Grenade and a Forum point [Ambrosia-servers.eu]

The point of these achievements would ofcourse give us something to attempt to get, An Goal to achieve if so and for the cheer joy to be unique!
If it'd be possible, This would be fantastic to connect to the VIP - Profile Customization to show off their achievements and such.

Everything here will most likely change, Like on servers there has to be 4/6+ people on the server for it to be able to achieve due to people abusing some all alone on the server.
Theres so much that can be made out of this, that can be done & It'll change ambrosia.

What can i do with forum points? You ask.

Well, Set up an Alternative " Shop " For people to purchase Items that can be brought In-game like, VIP On Selected servers for Forum points which you achieve by completing Achievements In-game
all these achievements i've listen up are purely suggestions, I can make a full list of diffrent achievements in cooperation with the ha of the server or whatever if this indeed becomes something.
And ofcourse other things can also be added

But Jake.. We don't have anyone with such skill to create.
I'm so glad you said that! This is where you put the VIP - Profile Customization suggestion in, It'll sell I'm sure [ I'd buy ] and it'll probaly haul in enough to pay for such an scripter

Yeaa even tho, We don't have the time to do this due to work and stuff
How great aint i? That is why i am here - I'd gladly vaulenteer and do whatever i can to help out with this, Heck if i could it'd do it all

This can be an amazing addon to Ambrosia, Not only to get people active & Interested, But to bring more people!
More poeople who most likely will spend a bit of Coins on the community to upgrade even more.
More people to add / Swap into the High staff team to make it active (again?)

I have so much ideas for this! This is mearly a breif of what can be done

Like:
Creating Custom ranks for Achievement people like " Achievement Hunter " ( On the forums ofcourse )
Creating Custom ranks on servers " Achiveist " A rank someone can get once they've achieved all the achievements & Gets an ubersuper Reward for it

And Yes, I know this is a gaming community - But Gaming aquires some Diversity also
People have interests in games & Forum activities both at the same time and would be a waste to find an forum for just such when you've got a perfectly fine forum here?
Since it is infact a community & We do wish to include everyone yeah?

I belive that all of this will be possible by the Staff team
Just Interest & Motivation is needed to make it happen! ( and ofcoures an amazing scripter. heh

)

we had a, sort of, achievement system that that came with HLstats but no one used it except for the top 15 n stuff
the system had all sorts of achievements btw ;p

support tho ^^

dust/public server simply can't have such advantages tho

Well ofcourse dust2 and Public can't, But im sure it can!

Theres probaly something that would fit nicely onto Dust 2 and Public servers that would gift the people who actually got the achivement

I actually was working on this project with tony (with even more achievements than suggested here), but it was discontinued ;-/

I could least attempt to make the forum version work once I have time, but the 1.6 version is out of my reach.

IMO we should try to get this more towards csgo then 1.6 to encourage more people to join the forums from csgo.

Next to that. If u want a connection between forums and 1.6 u need to work with steamid and since 75% is actually non steam it is gonna be a complete pain in the ass due to changes of id's.
Also if u gonna work with names or ips u will have the same issue.

There's very little active modding community for cs:go so far. But if it were possible I'd be up for it.

He's really close with Tony & I belive they have worked together for some time with scripting
Roni & Tony together might be able to do so ;o
And for Getting Cs:go People to join the forums will be hard through 1 v 1 & Whatever the other game mode is due to its a drop in & Drop out once you're done

If we want people from Cs:go We need servers like Surf, Base building .. ETC
We basicly Need game modes which an community is nearly needed to have.

Wehre did you get that from? I was working with it on tony, not Roni. Also I don't mean any offense towards Roni, he has some amx knowledge but he's not capable of making his own plugins at will.
About cs:go, we actually plan on adding new servers very soon!

Roni must've got An rather larger amount of knowledge throwards scripting now that he has had hes own community & all, I assume? I'm pretty sure he can contribute with some knowledge along with Toni ofcourse

Your knowledge to manage a mod can be significantly lower than creating a mod. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to take anything from Roni, but I don't really think of him as some proper coder who could provide that much assistance to tony in terms of actual coding. Either way, let's not go offtopic.

The problem is the coding/scripting. Tony was the one responsible for that and since Tony is no longer able to do this for ambrosia I highly doubt it is possible to be continued.
If there is a scripter it can be continued I guess

yup. Honestly I don't think dragging tony into this would even be a good idea. Probably would be easier to find a new coder altogether.

To be fair I don't mind searching for new scripters, issue is it's hard to get anyone interested. If anything we'd probably have to make plugin request for money, in form of a contract.

Also, knowledgable person doesn't automatically equal to good high staff. We learned that the hard way.

Garry mod communities have many implementations about shops and ingame features, I think they use some certain Jscript that establishes connection with the Lua database within the server. And it's hell of a easy for some lua coder to link it all up than amx and source because of how external links are coded.

Nvclan that had a csgo jb server running had similar links with the server database for ctbans and vip features, so it's possible for csgo too.

Considering ambrosia, to promote point farming and grinding for shop items which should be purely aesthetic only for ingame is not bad. I'm not totally up for this but not against it either. If rawr is hyped to get this going which won't require him too much googling. Just a 2-3 threads on facepunch and he doesn't have to do anything.

Also please no Rank Jungles, Ambrosia is simple with ranks. Don't put any more stupid ranks than what we have now. I'm certainly no fan of wtb/csa ranking tactics at all.

Cs:go Jailbreak to this point would probaly be be a bad idea..

Not many people thats playing jailbreak now has csgo, Nor money to buy it
I was checking around jailbreak servers on csgo and they're all mostly empty so it wouldnt really do that well, I assume..
I'd play, but its something the community must be in on, not just one vote c:
