On the look for new moderators.[May2015]

Hey there!

How's everyone doing? Don't really have too many updates on actual community, as many of us are busy with exam periods and other personal stuff, so we're pretty much just driving about until we can return to activity and do some real progress, however for now, one thing we wanted to touch on was the moderator team.
We're looking to expand particular moderator team for wide variety of boards.

We are looking for moderators for both boards, as well actual forum moderators.
Before we get to application stuff, it'd be worthwhile to comment on current moderators.

Gaming corner is getting pretty much an overhaul, with both @SmileyForever and @RoCk^^ removed from their moderator positions due to inactivity.

Giveaways is staying relatively the same, only @PowerDark is being removed due to inactivity.

Graphics Corner @Jonathan removed from the moderator team.

Downlaod Corner @Santa no longer needs board moderator, head admins have automatic moderator rights

and last but not least @Fadi Al-Johari is removed as moderator of the Tutorial Section for inactivity.

*Those who are not mentioned in the quotes will keep their spot as board moderators

• Have shown activity and knowledge in the board they are applying for (if applying for Forum Moderator, then forums as in whole)

Why do you think you should become board moderator: Well i previously had this position for a long time, and i believe i did a good job in it. I understand if you hesitate on giving me this position again after i resigned, but i'd make a great candidate with my experience.

Why do you think you should become board moderator: We both are very active on the forums and because of that we'd like to help out. Both of us have experience with managing boards and we're pretty much liked by the most of the community (jokes aside, we don't seem to have many folk against us these days). We can really come in handy as we're fair and honest about our words and promises. None of us really had any trouble with being warned and/or moderated (Dom did have a shady warning history but he was quite a young chap)

Why do you think you should become board moderator: I'm an rather huge game enthusiastic, I can involve myself into most types of game discussions widely spread of platforms, I myself own an Xbox & A Pc & A wide range of Games. I'm aware of the rules on the forums, Ofcourse from being here for 2 years, soon 3.

I've interacted/played most forum games thats around & understand if they're worthless or not, ( Worthy to keep around, Or just mainly spam ) - I am able to be on the forums mostly all day, Even smallpeek at night times too when i gotta wake up to pee (TMI? Probaly.. ) Got a sense of humor & Understand sarcasm quite well nor do i get offended easly.

You see now that Gaming Corner & Forum games corner are both slightly dead
I do have Ideas & Time to create games & Topics - Keeping the community upto date with information bout games & Games themselfs.

Why do you think you should become board moderator: Well, I'm very active on the forum as I'd like to give a hand, and cooperate with the team following the instructures and the basis of it and make sure that everything is in order as I believe a forum moderator oversees the communication activity of an Internet forum as he monitors the interchange of contributors and makes decisions regarding content and the direction of threads besides moving discussions from one section to another to keep topics organized and most important a good forum moderator usually has the discretion to lock the discussion to prevent heated, interchanges etc...

Why do you think you should become board moderator: I understand i had a bad past like 2-3 years ago, but people grow up and learn so i did, I dont recall having any trouble with anyone on ambrosia since i came back, nor receiving any warnings for any sort of misconduct, Forum moderator position and duties are no strange for me, i got a good forum activity and i can use my experience to benifit ambrosia, organise the forums, make it an enjoyable place for the folks to communicate with each other.

Why do you think you should become board moderator: I think I'll be able to help the forums and the moderators of the forums out with the knowledge I got, I wont attend at the 'Friendship politics' and manage the forum how it should be and also warn members/friend of mine when its needed. Just a reminder, it is recommend to apply for least 1 board alongside Forum Moderator application, so you have a chance to least get board moderator (ultimately you can see there's a lot of interest in Forum Moderator position and we can't accept everybody).

Why do you think you should become board moderator:
As a former high staff member I am familiar with the rules and the way things are going. I can easily give a hand in every place of the forums and keep everything as clean as possible. I can be extremely active through out the whole day through phone and pc.
Next to that I can be subjective in every way and also strict when needed.
Also I am already a board moderator atm so I won't apply for any other board then just FM.

Why do you think you should become board moderator: I have been on ambrosia for a long time, in-game and on forums. I recently resigned from admin on JB server, due to inactivity in-game. Why do you think you should become board moderator: Well to be honest I don't really know myself the reasons why you should pick me as one of the future Forum Moderators and not the rest of the applicants but all I can say is that if I'm ever given the chance to support Ambrosia in its forums like I used to do in the past, I'm sure you won't be disappointed because I have already been given the chance to manage one of your servers and to moderate your forums at the same time and I don't think I have made any mistake while moderating them. I can also assure you that if any decision has to be taken by my side (warnings/moderations), it will be as much fair as possible by taking the intentions in consideration rather than the act itself. I'm also very active in the forum despite the fact that I totally lost interest in 1.6 even if I still play in your CS:GO servers most of the time. Don't think that I'm seeking for rights or whatever. I'm not really expecting you to pick me as one of the future Forum Moderators but rather giving you the opportunity to read this application and to consider it in case you are interested. Cheers.

Why do you think you should become board moderator: I have been moderator in ALL the community I have been in which includes 3/4 apart from Ambrosia. I am an experienced person when it comes to forums and moderating. I am on the forums most of the time just surfing around. I am a supportive person which a forum moderator should be like. I always try to make fair decisions which does not include bias. Personally I think I will be able to help the forums a lot by cleaning some oldie topics which are still scooping around useless. I am a friendly person which is online around 2/3 hours a day on forums depending on how bored I am. My activity can increase even to 4/5 hours a day on servers / forums. If hopefully I get accepted ill try my best to keep the forum area clean and organised to make it more fun and easy to surf around.

Why do you think you should become forum moderator:

Dear Ambrosia,
It brings my attention that I may finally entitle myself of being worthy of having the moderatorship being returned after 2.5 years since the ipawn incident as I have been found to regret my actions of camouflaging him and encourage him to banevede. I have no more interests or intentions to generate trouble and would only use my privileges with the absence of a consulting party. I have shown great on-duty choices and decisions that never jeopardized or questioned my former moderatorship with the exception of just having a big post count and casually spouting nonsense to detour the subject and avoid further unnecessary engagements between oldies. After CC's departure his warnings got the attention of other novice staff for which I'm resembled as a source of nothing of value. As such, they have handed me warnings on occasions to limit my prosecution for the truth(i.e: "you talk too much"). Fortunately that prejudice is just a fiction that I find it humorous.

I have worked as a team and will continue doing so as I'm currently a administrator, I could have sidestepped from this claim on circumstances when I was just a member and only then. My accomplishments for goals from teamwork are the JAS project, 2012-2013 Administrator Meetings and having a microscopic number of people that we can't efficiently communicate(they know who they are)

My English level is a force to be reckon with that can greatly expand the issue and narrow it to a "close" winning position. Of course, such attitude is only triggered rarely but nevertheless I know what I'm saying and it never occur that I can't understand something in English, unless a heavy accent or dialect is at play.

I've been about 5 years in ambrosia, and keep profile records for everybody who passed in ambrosia and left. I'm the most reliable source for references(not the prefect source, but RELIABLE!). Other then just me being 7 months with demolition, I have all the details in my grasp.

Well my warning history does picture something spiteful as it depends on the warning segment. Sometimes it was done to stop something, sometimes it was done to articulate something, sometimes it was just a unnecessary comment. I can't insist they were never justified, but even if they were wrong I don't want to make something out of them because what is done is done. Nothing can delete those "false" warnings, because they stay. And this is a finite reason to base your opinion because it does play a role when choosing a forum moderator who has 7 pages of warnings.

Awkwardly, when I came to ambrosia all those years ago I happen to say to myself: This is the best place to build your personality and game enthusiasm. And 5 years later, it really did happen. Certainly, myself never used or fluctuated the privileges to saturate my ego or my chair. Everything that was the prologue where I took part, be it a action or a statement in entirety had no special luxury to satisfy me or my individual.

Why do you think you should become board moderator:
Even tho I've had my rough times in the past, I think I've changed dramaticly in last weeks, I would be perfect for this as I am decent with everyone and pretty active on forums. I'd never abuse my powers nor use it un-fairly. I also have alot of experience with forums including, smf, xenforo and many more.

I also know pretty much everyone in ambrosia and basicly know whenever they're joking or being serious.

I am also great to work as a team and working alone, so that will be a little bonus in this job as you'll probably need both of these in future.

Yes, I may know what you guys are thinking.. "An ex-spammer as a Forum moderator? heeeeell naaw" well as you can see from when I requested my warning removal, I've not posted any useless stuff or spam. And I will not spam in future anymore as I know now, let's leave it to that, that I know now.

Many applicants to pick, be wise and choose someone you can really trust. Even tho I think I will not be picked, that's not the important part, the important part is to be wise and choose someone everyone can trust.
