bad judgement / admin abuse

Hi,

I am a player of ambrosia servers. half hour ago I played on your dd2 only server. There was a admin GanX active (thats always good).

Normally all admins do a good job. But when they abuse their powers I want to let the ambrosio team know about this.

Here is what happened.

I was Terror on the dd2 only server. I was fighting in HALL B. Then mates informed via radio commands that they needed help on A long. Since CT was MID. I chose to go back to T spawn to join my teammates on A long. When I arrived on T spawn (still running) admin GanX slaughtered me for being a basecamper (while I did not basecamp at all).

BTW I do understand that this is just a mistake from GanX, since he is human.. I mean it can happen to the best (slaughtering people because of bad judgement) He probabli died himself and then saw me on T base and assumed I was there all the time.

So I told the admin that he made a mistake. And that I informed him that I was going to make a demo from now on to prove I did not basecamp in case he slaughtered me again for no good reason (just to cover my own ass in case he made another bad judgement).

So 2 rounds later. I was mid or short with the bomb and admin GanX told me that B was clear... So I ran to B to plant the bomb (While doing that I commented something like: dont kick me again). I arrived in B bombside and I planted the bomb and then, while I was defending window on B..... BAM the admin GanX kicked me from the server for no reason at all....

So Luckely for me I got a demo of this admin abuse + a screenshot of him kicking me.

Your demo only shows you being kicked after speaking another language. I had already warned you about that. I never made a bad judgement call. You broke a server rule multiple times and you were kicked because of it. The first time you spoke a language that was not English I gave a server wide admin warning about 'English only', the kick was a result of what looks like french just before you planted (which was the 2nd time).

I try to enforce the rules as much as possible on all the servers whilst I'm playing. If other admins let people break them or dont pay attention that is another issue. So many people break the rules and get kicked, return to the server and begin insulting me. I stand by what I did. This is hardly classified as admin rights 'abuse'.

You had spoken another language 5-10 mins before your demo began. That is when I first warned you about it, that was the reason for the kick. Not the fact that you were in spawn. After I had noticed you were coming back from B I didn't do anything about it. You were not kicked because you were in spawn but because you continued to speak another language after I already warned you. If I remember correctly you even wrote 'ye sorry' or 'sorry' after I gave the server wide message. When there is 3-5 ppl breaking rules constantly at the same time it can get hectic, you were also not the only person typing in admin chat. Two other players were complaining about dodgy play from someone else. As far as abuse goes, kicking is hardly abuse. I had just cause for my actions, not like I banned you for a few days because you spoke french. I also only kicked you once. Was not repetitive so I find it hard to understand really why you are complaining against me

Edit. I believe .dk# also said in party chat earlier on that he had already warned you about something. But that could of been another player.

Im not backing him up because hes admin m8, im backing him up because i saw what happend.. Maybe u got slayed just running true spawn, i didnt see that, so i cant comment on that... But its a 32 person server, and we have to watch every1, and to be honest, then ive been after you for trying to deffuse the bomb before as well  hehe... My comment is on the attitude you took towards Ganx after this vent down.. You cant start flaming a admin like that infront of every1 in the server, that just wont be tollerated, if we let that slide, then soon every1 will start trashing every admin and normal players on the server because they think its oki to talk to people like that because you did... I can assure you that ganx aint after you personally, but like i said its a big server with loads of players, so u might have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but still doesnt justify your attitude... But no harm has been done, you got kicked, and thats that.. People get kicked auto by the afk thingy all the time!!

You can record all the demos you wish whilst I am online. Still wont change anything. I uphold the rules of the server, some might say without much tolerance compared to other admins but I am just. I was not singling you out, I treat every other player the same way. Whether they are new on the server or have been playing on it since before I became admin.

If you break a rule you will be warned and then punished. Continuing to break the rules will result in a ban (and the duration of that ban again is what I believe is necessary in order for you to learn).

Play by the rules and you should not have any problems on the server.

There is no winner or loser in any report.
U think u win if someone gets warned or demoted by a simple administrative thing he did. Maybe it was a mistake. So mistakes can happen right? It is a minor thing.

And like always there are 2 stories behind a incident. 2 different perspectives. If ganx claims that he warned and also dk says that it happened. What is it gonna change? U prolly missed the warning since we all humans and not always checking chat but it is just mainly a server rule. And server rules are there to obey. We only speak english in ambrosia. Not anything else.
Even i am not from origin english and just a plain Dutch guy but that doesn't mean i will speak dutch. It is bloody annoying for anyone if someone is talking a different language and u have no clue where it is about.

So u know putting yourself in this "victim" position won't change a damn thing. U have to understand that DD2 admins are under a lot of pressure due to not really enough admins. So if there is 1 they have to do alot of work.

Back in the days when i was admin dd2 u had easily 2 to 4 admins online at the same time. Things like this didnt happen at all back then since there was hardly any stress.
So give him some slack. Mistakes are mistakes but there are always 2 people needed in those situations to turn out to a misunderstanding/mistake.

I think that he meant to lose the argument of getting unbanned or idk what xD,
