Admin abuse by Refresh

I'm not accusing ReFresh right now, but most of the times if an admin or higher wants to have fun he must break a rule, it's like a custom nowadays. Let me remind you the "mod" in general is supposed to be fun, not the admin commands, maybe I'm wrong but I think they exist so you keep a server out of injustice, not bring the injustice by yourself(generally speaking, as ReFresh's decision was not the end of the world).

ReFresh, yes many times admins have done this but now you got reported for it, that's why they're jumping on you. If someone kills a person 1 day and you do the same 1 month later and get "caught", you will be talked about that moment, that's all.

That's why people should judge fairly and not attack the one who did it at that moment because basically, I'm not the only one who has used this command. And you took a bad example. I didn't do something that can be compared to a murder. It's like if you cross the streets while the lights are red. A lot of people do this daily while it's normally not allowed.

My example is valid, and YOUR example confirms it as well. If the police catches you passing a red light they won't care if others did it before too, they saw you doing it NOW so they catch/judge you. Anyway, I already mentioned I'm not against you, I explained why they're accusing you right now, admins abusing the command was not right ofc and an action should(once again) have been taken as well.

Even tho its not big deal refresh is  very nice guy and he never abuse he just trying to do fun

Okay, I cheat in server. You cannot judge me, I'm not theo nly one who cheated. He took a very good example.  Cheating isn't something that can be compared to murder either. Okay, Cheating isn't really allowed but a lot of people do it.

Addition: back in the old days you could get cstrike as a cd. Opening cd tray: shutting down the game
You could just as well quit a few people

Alright let's not make a big fuss about it, it was a simple mistake and it can happen to anyone, the big problem is such things take place many times and go without a punishment and then people think it's normal or fun. Indeed rules should be applied to everyone and not only on ReFresh as if you see someone not getting punished for something you can think of doing it as well for the sake of "fun". However, this leads to the thing I've always been saying, "some admins constantly ruin the game with actions "for fun"".

Lokator, it indeed is not something huge mate but this is like a chain, someone does a mistake and goes unoticed, then others do it too and it gets worse, someone is paying so we have fun in the servers, we gotta try not ruin the game with chains of wrong actions.

So I suppose this could be resolved but with stricter treatment towards rules and anyone breaking them.

P.S. Please stop using the word "fun" as an excuse. I consider fun banning people in the server for no reason, shall I do so?

Others didn't get caught because no body reported them. I think your the head admin of Jailbreak ain't you? - Make it clear to your admins from now on, none of this "cd-eject" commands. I think we can agree that it is not appropriate.

Conclusion: I think it would be unfair to punish Refresh alone for this.

I once used that command on someone that was installing a program for two hours straight and wasn't finished as a joke too. It wasn't all that funny for the person in question and made me feel bad for him.

Point being, it might be a joke, but you never know if someone's using his cd tray or not so don't do it. Try to find a way to have fun that doesn't require you to potentially mess up someone's installation of a program or just break something else.

I've also seen other commands being used by refresh that again, doesn't need to be used which should hopefully put the question over to the higher ups of whether this plugin is actually necessary.

This, all I heard was the sound of my CD drive and I thought it was something inside of my computer so I went down to check what it was, checked inside the case incase something fell out because I thought my computer might have broken. I looked to see that my cd drive  was opened and noticed what the command actually done.

It may have seemed as if it was "fun" and people thought it was "funny" but as Maki said, anything could've been going on on someone elses computer that you didn't know about. Maybe next time you should consider the damages that something like this could do and whether it's appropriate.

Moral of it. Dont mess with things u shouldnt be messing with. Mechanics of pc's shouldnt be touched in any situation. Abusing a command for the fun of it ( even tho i never could see any reason for that but thats not the case) should only then be a ingame command and not a psysical thing.

They won't remove amx_exec because then they would have less "control".

It is in no way fun or funny. Your cd tray ejected, what's the reason to laugh? It can either cause problem for someone, or for others they will just put it back in and forget it ever happend.

You do not have to apologize, you made a very valid point.
