Author Topic: Admin abuse by Refresh (Read 539 times)

Why is this type of behaviour acceptable from an admin? Why did he even do it in the first place? He had no reason to.

Perhaps ask him why he did it

?

Cocainee Vendetta · « **Reply #2 on:** January 10, 2015, 05:57:36 pm »

I'm sure there is some useless/bullshit Jailbreak rule behind this... I.e. fun day or some other crap.

Everyone wants to be like tony!

I do it once, and everybody wants to do it. Oh well, you gotta live with this if you are famous I guess.

P.S. Refresh next time close the cd tray, don't leave it open

Fisu · « **Reply #4 on:** January 10, 2015, 07:03:36 pm »

I used to do that too in JB

But not with all, Dominic was the one I annoyed the most hahah

Red Wolf · « **Reply #5 on:** January 10, 2015, 07:11:27 pm »

When tony did it once, it scared a shit out of me. I really though it was a ghost or sth else (+ i was afk when tony didi it so i didnt saw cd eject line)

Rubix · « **Reply #6 on:** January 10, 2015, 07:40:19 pm »

I do have to agree with Thor.
I believe it's good practice to have fun within the server, but not to potentially break/disturb something in the physical world over a game.

It's just harmeless fun, rofl.

Pringles · « **Reply #8 on:** January 10, 2015, 07:43:53 pm »

Seriously, you had to report me ? You know I have already done this in the past and nobody seemed to complain. I do not abuse this command since I simply do it rarely. The last time I used this command was 2 months ago I guess and nobody complained about it and you know, it's not that bad to have fun sometimes. Even tony admits he did it but guess what ? Nobody reported him at this time because of course, who would report tony ? He knows how to defend himself better than anyone and also at this time, there weren't people like you to report a simple action like this one. But don't misunderstand me, I basically recognize this action as an abuse but you know, sometimes it ain't this bad to do some things that should not be done. I would like to apologize if you basically consider this as something inappropriate and you can be sure you won't see me trying to have fun (specially by using something that could harsh them or by breaking a simple rule that could push someone like this guy to report me) with wrong people anymore.

P.S : Since you sir seem to be overly attached by rules should I ban you and prove the reason of my ban with the logs that show you heavily insulting/swearing at people for no apparent reason ? Should I ban you for what you have done or you will justify your fact by saying that you tried to "have fun" ? Should I judge you on your action and not on your intention ? You were abusing the swearing rule so what do you have to say for your defense ?

This is actually pretty usefull , it was used on me once and i found a CD i was looking for ages...

Pim · « **Reply #10 on:** January 10, 2015, 07:57:41 pm »

I didn't understand at first what command line he printed, now i see.

I agree with thor and Rubix, you shouldn't touch the physical world. If you eject my cd tray you can actually make it mallfunction because there is always a drink next to it. Think about it, you could have ruined my phone which lays there as well

Wouldn't go so defensive Refresh...

Pringles · « **Reply #11 on:** January 10, 2015, 08:09:45 pm »

You should not say this to me only, but also to everyone who did/does that because today was one of the only days I executed that command on players while other people do it more often. So of course, I did it but you should be fair with everyone. I know people who did that (even UCs). I know that this is not something appropriate but did these people get reported or did you take any action on these people ? No, of course that not. What I mean is that I don't understand why this is going against me only because I did it today, and I would like to recall that I basically don't do this often while other people used to do it more often. I basically recognize that this action was not appropriate and I already apologized. Moreover, I didn't even know this command before one of your former UCs executes it on me some time ago.

eeeeeeh , I'm not really a fan of such commands on players , but since it's only a petty cd eject , I say we disregard this ! Thor does have a solid point but yeah

Refresh, if everyone jumps off a building, will you join them? I am sorry but your reasoning: "everyone does it so i go free". Is not really satisfying me, i'm not the one to decide but i simply dislike these comments. I don't know you very well, but I do know: you know better

I never said that because someone did it, I should do it. Don't misunderstand me please. I only said that other people did this too and nobody gave a **** about it, I only did it max 4 times since I got admin rights in the Jailbreak server while other people used to do it more often. That's what I mean.

Pim · « **Reply #15 on:** January 10, 2015, 08:23:39 pm »

To add: nobody said anything about actions being taken. I would be surprised if there would be any actions taken, but this does bring up enough to have a short discussion over.

Ps. I would have responded the same for Tony or any other jb admin. I never knew this actually happened until this topic

Pss. I would have acted on another jb admin if he did that on me. You don't do that

Omg.. what have you done refresh?! You have launched a nuclear bomb on this guy!!!

Seriously, stop these kind of shitty reports. Getting sick of seeing stuff like this from players like.. Every fuckin second, someone reports the staff for doing harmless things like these.. or say "fuck".

Grow the fuck up people.

I'm not accusing ReFresh right now, but most of the times if an admin or higher wants to have fun he must break a rule, it's like a custom nowadays. Let me remind you the "mod" in general is supposed to be fun, not the admin commands, maybe I'm wrong but I think they exist so you keep a server out of injustice, not bring the injustice by yourself(generally speaking, as ReFresh's decision was not the end of the world).

ReFresh, yes many times admins have done this but now you got reported for it, that's why they're jumping on you. If someone kills a person 1 day and you do the same 1 month later and get "caught", you will be talked about that moment, that's all.

I take that as a personal offense,

That's why people should judge fairly and not attack the one who did it at that moment because basically, I'm not the only one who has used this command. And you took a bad example. I didn't do something that can be compared to a murder. It's like if you cross the streets while the lights are red. A lot of people do this daily while it's normally not allowed.

Cheers.
