[Rejected] freezetime
« on: January 06, 2015, 08:21:36 pm »
some players asked me to add freezetime in the start of round

they argument this: "weaker players will have no time buying and the winning team will always have better position next round if they survive. I think it's better to have  minimum 3-4 sec freezetime so everybody can buy."

so i want to hear ur opinions about this

I dont think it should be implemented, but if it does [;ease dont make it longer then 3-5 seconds. Remove the 30second rebuy timer if you add freezetime. This will stop the rebuys of nades and such in dust2 for instance and give people plenty of time to buy

Edit - reworded

3-4 sec should be the max it's not that long and even a beginner can learn to buy that fast after a few tries.
also buytime 15 sec is more then enough and should avoid nadespamming, but still if you rush middle on d2 as terror you can still nadespam a few times but 30 sec is way to long.

With no freezetime on d2 the terror have more advantage when terror is rushing ct always have bad positions or the only positions is 1 step outside of spawn.
On inferno terror never are able to get out of house because ct already rushing when winning.

On pretty much each map there is an advantage problem caused because of nofreezetime.

I would suggest to put it on 4 if you want to rush you can still rush with freezetime on.

I suggest freezetime to be 0.

Reason: In my early days I hated when I saw that everyone is killing me and there I am buying m4a1 using my mouse (LOL), after getting killed a lot of times, I started buying with keypad which later on improved my buying skill to be pretty fast.

Conclusion: Let it be 0, so amateur players can develop their skill. They will hate us (administrators for having 0 freezetime on server) but after awhile they will find out that we helped them by putting freezetime 0.

Cheers,
Popay

Isn't it in competitive cs, 3 secs?
Why not keep it 3?

No in competition it's even 10 sec so you can discuss strategy, but that's to much for public 3-4 is fine.

And popey read my reply above using server commands to take advantage over a player that b uys slow is not a skill I can change c4timer to 4 or 5 sec you can never reach the bombsite and defuse get it?

My opinion is that you put it, it is important that players have equal opportunities, many people leave the server when they see a team always win and rusher faster than them, and you don't have the time to stop them.

In the event that will be introduced " FreezeTime " I appeal to strict adherence to five seconds , " SpawnCamping ", then kick .

I like how newbies come out from nowhere and state their opinions as other known members, do you mind introduce yourself please? what's your nick in-game? and do you really play on Public or someone just told you to say so? ::)

ambrosia was known for allowing any high ping from around the whole world on the server not freezetime get your fact straight.

And rushing is perfectly possible with freezetime On.

Rush means = you press forward and run it has nothing to do with freezetime.

I think 0 sec freezetime is good coz cs 1.6 pro players have no problems in buy-time,in some maps as awp_india and aim_map you cant put 3 sec freezetime coz the enemy will easily kill you.
