Pointless comments.

Why does everyone have to make criticism over someone? Like you're a perfect human, oh please..
I have no idea where some people are trying to get with this, probably trying to show to owners that Roni isn't worth for the position? I don't see anyone else in this community that deserves that rank more then Roni. I also heard that he is spending a lot of time fixing the servers you play on while he has a job. Roni's attitude might not be perfect in some cases, maybe because of real life issues and that's why he has anger sometimes? I gotta say this is a gaming community and not some sort of government so instead of taking things too serious about something, re-think that the person you're talking to might not be having his/her best day? Even though he is mostly a great person. I don't know what Roni did since there is a bit of hate in the comments however those people should give him a chance and if he fails on his job owners can simply take actions? While i absolutely think he will grow and make the community stronger.

Afterall, i'm happy that Roni now has the chance to show himself more into the community and we all will be here while he makes it better/worse so just leave this thread alone and complain later.

Not unexpected but not a very wise choice. It feels like a forced promotion to me especially knowing RoNi's general attitude.

Don't get me wrong, he can be a very nice guy but he's not the type to sugarcoat his opinions, he posts what is on his mind at a time without thinking it too much through. It causes several issues and often he can't back off from his opinion after because it's simply too late.

Besides that, he's the type that when angry can really overreact things very badly and that even publicly, he's not the type of person you really want to talk to when he's mad and you can't expect his next course of action when he is. You have to wait for him to calm down but it's very hard to deal with him at the time and so he can cause things that will get people immensely pissed off.

That brings us to his leadership or management abilities, from what I've heard, Surf GG was left in a poor state and he basically told that it was up to Pim to fix it (from hearsay, if RoNi denies that, then I guess it's a he/she says kinda thing), I mean can you really respect and follow someone that leaves stuff up to you on a whim and may refuse to help you out, will you listen to someone that tends to overreact small stuff and acts in general very control hungry?

I haven't seen him really excel in solving issues either or well I've seen him create more issues than solve to be completely honest due to the aforementionned reasons. His english also may be a cause as he doesn't express himself well at times or it just doesn't come across as he intended due to the language barrier.

Additionally, I don't see the level headedness in RoNi that I see in other people. I see a hot headed person that gets mad too often and acts too much based on his feelings. I feel that when things don't go his way, he often rages and act in a way that is barely staff material, let alone CL material.

Yeah he works hard from time to time, yeah he's been here for years. But being an oldie and working hard does not mean you deserve or are ready for a promotion. Promoting someone to let him show he's capable isn't a very viable strategy either. People have to be capable before you promote them to eliminate any risk of issues coming up.

I do agree with certain points you made here and week back I had a conversation with Roni and when he asked me for a honest opinion / critique I said things of similarity. I do think it's a tad unfair though, to write him off immediately without giving him in a chance. Bear in mind, there is a trial period if things go wrong and secondly, some people indeed change with their responsibilities, myself included. I am a rude, immature asshole if you meet me on league (or any other non-ambrosia related thing), I just learned where to keep my act together. I do think Roni needs to work out on his public appearance and the way he tends to overreact (I even said that to him in our private conversation) - this however does not mean Roni cannot change for the better and personally I believe if Roni does try hard enough he can become a representative figure. He may have a long way to go, this however does not mean he can't possibly get there.

Thank you for your comments everyone. I have to agree with your negative comments but this sort of thing happens to everybody. Well i do understand everybody here and believe me i know that i have some negative side's of me like i said before i can get mad really fast that's true i can be mean sometimes. But nobody is perfect as we all know everybody have some bad side's. I do agree my attitude its not the best but the only reason i am here is to make ambrosia a better place for every single one of you. And about my anger problems i am working to fix that and everybody is aware that i have anger problems, but believe me that i will always take a fair decision when it comes to the community. Ambrosia for me its my second life, everything that happens bad to ambrosia will affect me too. I am the guy who is stuck and addicted to ambrosia. Because its simple i love this community and the people that are here in this community. I will support any member that has any problem with anyone. I am not here to eat anyone or to destroy anybody. Like i said i am here to make this community a better place for every single person here, but you should also remember that we can not please everybody. Every human being in this world likes different things, everybody has different opinions and i respect every ones opinion. I will do my best to control my anger problems and i will do everything for this community to be good. But please give me sometime to prove my self i just got this rank yesterday.

I understand your concerns maki regarding your opinion on Roni and I too was doubtful at first. However, I spoke to Roni a couple of days ago about some issues he was dealing with and I felt that he handled the situation ok. He accepted my comments and took onboard the the advice I gave him.

Some people are already made for leadership roles through experience gained in work and real life experiences but others need tutoring and I believe Roni is the latter. However, in saying this we all have to start somewhere and this opportunity should provide Roni with more challenges than ever and he will have to grow with it.

I've never been a fan of promoting people prior to showing themselves ready. It's counterproductive. It brings a lot of backlash to the person when people actually knew he wasn't ready.

Don't get me wrong, taking gambles is alright sometimes but I just don't see the necessity here, besides that, can we really come to say the promotion was necessary? There was no need to rush it out and testing out someone in the hopes he turns out alright can go sour very quick. Heck, we've seen multiple cases of those where people got it when they shouldn't have gotten it and problems ensued. The tutoring has to be done before, not after.

I'm judging his general behaviour that is fairly recent that has shown clear signs of him being unready and I'm writing him off based on that. People should, to say it once again, only be promoted when he has the capacities to handle the new position and not before. I don't see why you're talking about yourself since you quite clearly already knew how to control yourself and act before you got promoted which isn't the case here and even you seem to admit to it.

I'm not saying he'll never fit, almost anyone could fit with effort, motivation and time but you should generally wait until that time passes or guide him until he's there and not hope for the best after the person got promoted. It's not surprising quite a few promotions turned out sour if you adapt this kind of protocol.

Anyway, I'll leave it at that. I've given my opinion, there's no need to keep arguing here. You know where to find me if you want to talk.

well maki if i remember, you did't accept some criticism in an old promotion topic when you were FM, you were always saying it is not "the right place for this or that" , well again ill say it to you it is not the right place for what you said. emperors made their decision, i think it is well deserved, and yes we aren't all perfect , but he did a lot for this community, before you come and after, am sorry but oldie does matter a lot, proof,; we still here , and others just left, why is that ? we just love this community, we still loyal, we argue , we joke, we talk, we fight, but we are here, in the good moments, and in bad moments

In my opinion i believe that he's not ready for that position because the job of the Community Leader is to Listen and act. and i believe that the current RoNi cannot Listen even if he's Wrong or not sure about some subject or discussion.
