I would be tempted to do it if it wasn't for the fact like I took some time drawing him his BMW E60 or whatever that he wanted in his last avatar, and never even used it.

Export your work in to Adobe ImageReady and animate the layers (opacity). Each frame you create you can just change how much of the text is visible.
