How to fix your cs if you being slow hacked.

What's the slowhack?

-A server hacking your cs folders, which hacking all the configs of your cs. Which when you run cs, it redirects you to its server or clicking on any button like "c".



THERES TWO TIPS:

I prefer the second tip, not the first.

First tip is for lazy guys only: (I'm serious)








Another tip. ( I prefer it in my opinion. )


You have to check all your configs, your config, autoexec, userconfig, either server config, etc.

If you find something like bind "F3" "Connect "ip of the server"" then, you have to remove it, you will find this binds in your all config.. (autoexec, your config, etc. ) AND delete your gamemenu.rs


After you finish, change your cs folder properties to "READ ONLY" by clicking right click on cs folder, then properties, and you will find down "Read only" and "Hidden". Click on "Read only" then press ok. Why making file "read only"? In order to not getting slowhacked again. Try to run cs after this tips. SOMETHING ALSO, CHANGE EVERYTHING IN THE RESOURCE FILE TO READ-ONLY. and the folder too.

In my case the game menu was also altered and I had to delete the gamemenu.res file too


also there were several unknow configs added to my cstrike folder which contained the connects to an "ip" server line, so make sure to check them all.

Once i've visited some of top10 world servers (romanian).


It was disappointing visit as all of them were ducking my cfg, so yeah, read only + don't visit doggy servers as drn says, especially romanian

Just felt like pointing out server overwriting a config file is not a hack. Just a thing you don't want to be happening. Entire point is, that server overwrites have nothing to do with "hacking"

Whilst this tutorial is nicely written and helpful, the term "server hacking your cs folder" isn't too good to use. Apart from that good job

I've an easier way to solve this:

You simply, go on you Counter-strike folder, then cstrike, then resource.
On the resource folder, you'll find a file named Gamemenu, open it with notepad and replace the text with this one:

This is what i do when that happens.

Read carefully up. Delete gamemenu.rs -.-
and there is another easier step. I updated it in the topic, second step.
And also, there is russian attacks I saw it in the last days. It attacks the configs too, and the resource file. So what you saying isn't enough too.

@HITMAN: Follow the steps correctly, and you will fix it.

I posted a tutorial on how to fix slow hack on January 2013 , It is fully explained :

Advertising : There are alot of server that when you join they mess up your game and your stuff and you auto advertise , so this is how to fix it :
first open the console the ` key ( under 'esc' for most PCs/ Laptops ). Okay so now is the part where you should know which key you press and it advertises , if you dont know then type in the console 'unbindall' if you know then type unbind (key) then go to your options and press use default if you used unbindall .

ADMIN SLOW-HACKED YOU -  ( due to cheating or hacking or other reasons ) this plugin is called amx_fu**up , amx_destroy , amx_pika it activates and fu**s the game of the cheater just how the plugins name work xD anyway , to fix it the first thing is your game becomes all laggy so you just do fps_max and it will say 1 change it to 101 or higher in the console.
2nd - your server pings are high : type rate it will say 1 change it to 25000 - 30000.
3rd - Colours of chat is messed up , concolors will say 1 1 1 , change it to 255 255 255 ( white )
4rth - open regedit - Windows start menu , type regedit press enter ( for vista or w7 ) For xp find run.exe and type in it regedit.exe then press enter or run.
5th - Find 'VALVE' And delete it from regedit .

If this didnt work just reinstall the game but rename the folder and dont make it counter strike 1.6 , make it cs 1.6 or counter strike 1.6jk ( or any other thing )

Not tested on STEAM , but works 100% for non-steam!

To be honest, your tut is so old and poor. The russian slowhack got more than what you posted.

And amx_pika isn't really slowhack.. and all of amx commands too. They are just commands for banevaders/cheaters. And also.. Slowhack NEVER EVER can enter system32 files or any files in the PC except CS files.
