[DD2 Only] Server Suggestions

Is there a quick way to request an admin using in-game chat?  If not, implementing this would be an effective way to stop cheaters emptying the server in under 5 minutes.

Even if there was the capacity of Admins are to low to really have that quick response.
Best way is to go to the forum and use shout box.

@wong if I'm not wrong there should be a message going about admin application stuff.

Suggestion 3 will not get used since we have a huge playerbase from the middle east which always will have high ping.

And 5 I guess that's difficult to do the.

Try add all admins in your steam in order to report them or simply you can do it the old way using shoutbox.

i already reward non defuser by slap/slay/fatality(Damage slap combo), depend on situation, plus def/plant it is already 3 point to score

Suggestion 3: max ping 150 (I think now it is set to 250 max a lot of time resulting in a super laggy server with 70% of players having ping 80 or more. Thats just unplayable for all the other players

Been fighting for this back when I was HA of dd2, no luck

You won't have a chance, since the average ping of the players is 80-90..

point 3 is the BEST suggestion.

lets start a server in south afrika continent AFRIKA where u have ping 25 and I (from the netherlands) will have ping 250.

Then we (people from europe (UK, FR, NL, GR) all connect and see how u like the lagg that will occur...

personal I think a UK based server with mainly visitors from europe should not be on a super laggy server just because players from Afrika, asia and USA for some reason just have to play on western europe servers.

Explination: There are always like 25 players on the server. But when 4 afrika continent players join the server with ping 200. It will make the 21 other europe players lagg like hell. So we all leave server and search for a better one.

its alway players from tunesia, algeria, marocco (north afrika) that make us lagg. why they HAVE TO play on western europe servers where they have high ping. Does hosting not exist in north afrika? they dont have a public gameserver in those countries?

My ping varies between 45-60 when i'm having a great net. Implying that i'm from Algeria.

1. Buytimer 15 sec! -> Example: I am CT buy hegren go B, throw it into tunnel -> type /me : 0 dmg -> back to ct base to buy another he and throw into short aand guess what coz some T (who rushed [rare in buplic yea]) are already in short they will be blown away or get damaged hard
2. 2min15s per round (the captain of the T is sometimes too lazy to lay the bomb)
3. deactivate Ranking System!(!!!!) -> You should have fun playing this game.. If you wand go hard go play ESL (dunno if CS 1.6 szen e in ESL is still alive)  or automatic mixed Warservers not on public..
4. Ping max. 100
5. Balancer -> if 1 Team dominates like max. 10 rounds in a row the best one has to switch with the "not so good" one of the oteherr theam or letzz zay the shiteszt

1st one is great
2nd one is average
3rd one is bad since it gives you some "contest" between players to be on the top
4th sucks, 100 max ping? so that the server will be 5-10 max.. no ty.
5th it's already but the server can't balance, if for example, they transfere me to ct, and I wanna play ts, I can just go back to ts the next round..

Well I am from The Netherlands and the ping I have is 10 to 20.

I think that ping is good enough to have a fun time on the ambrosia server. But please understand. I wanna change max ping 250 to max ping 150.

This does not affect you.

Its the 160+ pingers that make us all lagg. NO idea where they from. Maybe they are people from algeria with 56K modem. Maybe they from China, USA, india or Japan.

Fact is: Having a few players with super high ping on the server just makes the server unplayable for us ALL... resulting in players leaving the server and searching for a non laggy one. It really affects the quality of the game.

I am not suggesting something unreasonable here. It will improve the server quality and its popularity on the long term

Agree with Ner0, shorten the buytime to 15secs to prevent CTs buying 17 HE grenades in one round.

Keep the ranking system as it is, but lengthen the list to show top50 so you can see how you're progressing against everyone else, and what's needed to level up.  Maybe extend the list to 1000 so Latvian can see his name near the bottom.

Cap ping at 200, otherwise too many people will get kicked (DD2 server is already less than half-full most of the time).  More importantly, I need these laggers to kill so I can raise my rank.

That's the only plugin atm that can fix this issue, we've had it in Public before believe me there are some players (noob players) who plays with 4 rate.
