I suggest a freezetime of like 1 second and a buytime of 15-20 seconds, less than that is not enough, it's been many times I didn't have the time to buy a gun just because I was browsing the forum while I was dead.

Too lazy?

Too lazy for what? To wait until next round? I never said I'm lazy.

soooo.. can we get this on the server?

or? some more opinions?

SilverQuick · « **Reply #144 on:** November 03, 2014, 08:51:39 am »

Tbh I think 30 seconds are enough for buy time, and let's be honest admins are dealing with th re-buyers and about freeze time, nah I don't think it's a good idea imo.

Kappo · « **Reply #145 on:** November 03, 2014, 05:36:24 pm »

Well I dont like freeze time and about buy time, I would reduce it to maximum of 20 seconds, that must be enough even for the slowest buyers tho

SilverQuick · « **Reply #146 on:** November 03, 2014, 06:10:06 pm »

I don't see where is the difference between 30 seconds and 20 Kappo anyway, I suggest we stay like we are and let's see high staff's opinion about this.

Who else think's that it's harder to head-shot here than on many other servers. Not only that. Seems like bullets sometimes are just totally blank. Like today I aim from a very close distance with 4-1 (CT's) and bullets just went straight through the head and hit the wall behind. Not touching the body, west or anything. I agree that there are many more skilled players on this server. But I am also talking about times, when There aren't many skilled online and I am killing fine, but bullets still seem not to register properly. I go elsewhere and half my shots are HS and accuracy and those stas are at least 10% higher than here. Am I delusional or what is going on....

Update: its probably me just lost skill that's all... also i got to play on widescreen where everything looks zoomed in. That also changes a lot I guess

Aight, but what's the point? what is your suggestion? anyway, this happens to me most of the time when I try to hit my opponents head, but I'm sure that it's from my network and I always blame it rather than turning my blame to the server's config or anything.

I had a thought that it is because of the transparency mode.

Why is there no freezetime at all? or is it just 1 sec? You need atleast 3-4 sec so so everybody can buy and start at the same time. If u like rushing you can do this with a freezetime aswell there is no skill about buying faster than som1 else.

This no freezetime is creating a gameplay of the team that wins the round will rush faster the next round as they have guns if they survived which is creating a delay on the other team and the advantage only grows bigger as other team keeps getting rushed and losing and no cash.....

Like I said on public regarding freezetime, if you change it to say 3-5 seconds then remove the 30 secondgame start buy timer completely. This will stop people rebuying nades and such which is pretty common. One less thing for admins to worry about too

Gives the average new cs player time to buy and a team to chat about tactics.

Nah.
1 of the things ambrosia is known about. 0 freezetime. Just autobuy and go hard.

I dont want it to be implemented at all. Kinda meant just dont make it 10 seconds or something stupid if it does get the greenlight

duffman · « **Reply #154 on:** January 06, 2015, 10:10:35 pm »

using server settings to your advantage has nothing to do with the game or skill.
Using this setting it is only an advantage for the winning team as the surviving players don't have to buy guns and gain advantage by rushing versus players that don't know how to buy or are very slow at it.

If i like to play terror and I would like the bomb to explode very fast can I suggest to change rcon mp_c4timer to 5?

that way the ct can never defuse because I loves explosions. But ofcours this is not fair.

The same logic applies for rcon mp_freezetime should be atleast 3-4 sec to create a fair gameplay.

The gameplay that is created right now is unfair and only good for the winning team.

SilverQuick · « **Reply #155 on:** January 07, 2015, 12:33:58 pm »

Ambrosia has always 0 freeze time and never got changed and I agree as it's not considered as unfair or something because it's set on both sides T and CT and it's up to you to either your slow or fast in buying.

Hello,

I'm not bothered about the 0 Freezetime, I can buy while running.

However, if you play on the CT side and you want your team to rush LONG (or B) to stop the T rush, I find that a lot of new/unexperienced players are just 2 seconds too late..and get shot.

What is the downside for having a 3 sec Freezetime?

greetings,
Legion

duffman · « **Reply #158 on:** January 08, 2015, 07:08:19 pm »

Only players that are for 0 freezetime are players that are winning team joiners mostly, because the 0 freezetime is only an extra advantage for winning team as the surviving players don't have to buy guns.

Go play on the losing team every round and go see if you still like 0 freezetime. Using a server command to your advantage is no skill.

I suggest to change c4 timer to 2 sec aswell so ct can never defuse.

Totally agree with Duffman, the server brings a lot of good players, when we play on dd2, we feel that there are tactics in order to win, it would be much more professional if we put the freezetime, all people feel that there is an equal opportunity unconsciously.
All these details will play even more seriously, and earn points for the server. Good players bring increasingly.

Regards.
