A pretty bizarre rule..
« on: February 10, 2013, 01:22:12 pm »
Hey, I've been going on Ambrosia servers and constantly get kicked because I say some rather common words such as damn and oh sh*t when I die, especially on Jailbreak servers. What I mean is why would we ever get kicked for saying damn?

You might say there are 18- people, but lets face it, this game has been rated mature 18+, if they needed to implement any sort of censorship, Valve would! By playing Counter-Strike you're KILLING, you're seeing uncensored blood and many other graphic content that are restricted to people under 18, I know, I'm not over 18 and I don't give a blast either but if you disrespect the age limit why would you have no right to swear? I mean it's alright to kick when someone swears enormously, but when I see admins kicking people for saying such common words in an 18+ game when it's not pointed to anyone.. I mean seriously, Ambrosia has most of its players 13+... We can handle such words, internet is full of swear words, you have to deal with it..

Censorship is hated all over the world and many people riot to get it removed, why should we support it..

Emm i dont think so if someone sweared then another one will swear too and then everyone will start swearing then the server will be like a barn :P
Ppl should get kicked so the server stays respectful

Custodian, there are people under 13 there are kids here even girls. We do not call it censorship we call it Moderation. If anyone had their parents watch them play and they saw a dirty word on the chat , I wonder what would they do? We are keeping the peace here stable. If a fight starts between players thats no good for anyone. About the word damn thats not really bad but you should be mature and not say it alot. Every now and then its fine but it SHOULD NOT be said to players.

1. The parents first off are guilty for letting kids play a GAME THAT IS 18+

You can't go around on mature games and ask for nice words, lol...

Also to cplus.... There are countless of games without censorship, I never played a game with censorship

It's not moderation when it's not directed to anyone?

Lets think we allow to swear in the Server:

Player 1: F...

Player 2: Stfu kkdkdk

Player 1: Got a problem? yoou s...o...b..

Player2: Omg i wil f... ddos u...

Ehm i dont think we tolerate such fights and to avoide this No swear Insult ,, or Slaykickban. Same as for the laguage English only

Cheers :D

Whatever your perception / expectation, these are the rules we set.

By the same token... People swear, shout, fight in the street. Would you have it in your house given the choice?

Humanity is not restored :D

Ok let's be a bit more vigilant...
Game is 16+, NOT 18+
Graphical content including nudity, dismembering, gore, mental and psychological violence are considered 18+. And yes, I like psychology... Let's see? Stooooooory time!
The current social environment can't do anything to suppress children and their anti-social characteristics, because of parents! Yes!!! We have to blame the child's supervisor :/ So we got this:
Parents who can't watch their children because of overwork, and Parents who are careless about their children. Name which social system you want to(capitalism,communism,socialism...) Nothing will control children, absolutely nothing! So let's use this in the game cs 1.6
Cs 1.6 was the pioneer for affecting murder/delinquent/Psycho/mentally sick personalty increment... You get the deal, this game was created in 1999 and was one of the most popular game of it's time. But also it built up the underground philosophy, killing people for a hobby and seeing them bleed. We got thousands of psychosis of murderers. And get this, in the majority of 80% in 2001-2005 played games, referencing counter strike!

So we see this: Counter strike is an game who creates murderers, and has backing up of anti-social skills (weapons, dying, blocking other developments). The recipe for disaster of course!
Now, i'm seeing some brave-heart guy talking about words which we hear everyday in real life. Yes, is quite obvious!!!
Jailbreak is a mod who requires a dynamic interaction between one team, an other. You are fully sure to expect some words like that to slip of, and if someone moderates you for that you won't be in a good mood at all. Ambrosia's jailbreak rules are somewhat the most strict and the most inhuman! Pointing out the nature of these words is one thing. When i started playing on source mods, you should see the enormous "care photons" given if somebody says something naughty or cursing. I'm supporting the moderation in case he got offended by a person but not generally cursing the server space about your failures or amazement. Even some administrators are so emotional and can't stand a single forbidden word and think is an opportunity to do administration commands because they got the green light they are waiting for.
Oh forgot to mention one thing!
AMERICANS!

When I came by some american servers, you have no idea(And you never will) about the constancy of using cursing words. Is like every 2nd sentence has a naughty word, that was really new to me so as usually it took some adaptation phase. And yes, nobody got offended and admins didn't even care at all who said what to who or where. Only thing they get hyped is the N word which has it's definition exploits in ambrosia inclusively.

There is about 20% censored games which require certain procedures to own and play the game. No wonder why their owning companies go bankrupt because they aren't user friendly at all!

So let's circle this in a one sentence:
Stop being so hyped about cursing words when everybody overuse them in real life.
I don't mine to elaborate why games are made for adults too :D

Note: The original text was extremely long and i thought it would be in community's liking to have it a bit shorten out with some simple word replacements.

Jailbreak rule : No swearing will be tolerated.

Valve didn't make a censorship for the game, but we are here to fix Valves problem right? So there is no point in letting few words so you can swear, which will lead in quarrel.
