Hey Hey Hey!

Oh man, it's been a while since i was actively posting on this forum and enjoying the company of my fellow members!
A lot has changed since then, going back and forth, coming back and leaving, but one of the last posts i made in this board was something like "leaving for good".
That was an offical farewell to CS fame franchise, because before that i was already inactive mostly on 1.6 and enjoyed last days of gaming in CZ.

I've logged in 6 hours ago and been cruising around the forum for those past 6 hours reading old posts of myself and others, dating all the way back to 2013-2016.
Felt like reading through forgotten memories...as of right now, its quite sad to see how communities slowly and painfully die out, including Ambrosia.

I was there to witness the RISE of Ambrosia community and its servers, all the way back in 2007, when for a short time i saw the transition of Ambrosia Realm to Ambrosia Assasins, which in turn created a lot of new servers for boys and girls to play on and have fun.
During this transition, believe it or not, everyone played JailBreak server back then, it was chaos. So much chaos that i had to wait for hours to get on it and play. Guys like Renegade and General-Ice, even Burzum (although he might say he never played JB before), he was there, so as NoCtrl. JB was the number one server back then. Back then before joining i was playing in local gaming cafe's where nr 1 game was CS 1.1, yep...the very first CS game, it was popular trend back then for kids to go pay a small fee and play on one of the 20 computers the gaming hall had to offer. Usually after school we gathered up and played till our eyes went red lol.
I don't know who or how, i ended up finding out about Ambrosia servers, but it's the best thing that happened to me during my CS gaming years. The second best server back then, in my opinion, was TDM server that had no game restart enabled, you could end up getting 1k kills and still no game restart. My old pc has a screenshot of my final score of over 1k kills and about 850 deaths, mostly because i played with guns that nobody else used.
Then there was dd2 only and classic server, and my all time favorite - KZ server(climb).

Oh the good old days...i also remember RAMBATEN's all time favorite post on SN forum before it was taken over by Piranchas and Alred (if im not mistaken)
He said - "What happened with all that money people donated to keep servers alive? Did Rimbo spent it all on vodka?" hilarious af.
And Shane jumping in on the drama, threatening him all possible ways lol.

Then, at this Ambrosia, BB server was open, which resulted in my full devotion to the server, i mean crazy and over the top devotion...played it till i got headache or my fingers turned blue lol.
I believe the server closing hugely affected my stay in Ambrosia for that matter, with high regrets i continued to play on TDM server and when that closed it was the last nail on coffin.
Hundreds of hours spent on just one server, ReSo Builders clan conntributed to that...even at one point during ReSo's fame days there was one day that was impressing to me. If someone entered server to see score tab, they wuld be surprised to see 20 players with ReSo Builders tag. Almost felt like ReSo server only lol.

Im just sharing my thoughts on what happened before, because of all gaming communities Ambrosia is number 1 for me.
It's good to come back here every now and then to see what's going on, but every time i come back, i leave with pain on my mind and heart.
How long till Ambrosia Community finally rests in peace? Hopefully never, but running empty servers and forum costs money and i can see why High Staff changes on daily basis as nobody wants to spend money on THIS long term with no benefit in return.

I feel like its the best for all parties to close down all servers, leaving one behind for every now and then "Ambrosian reunions" and obviously forum, it has way too much history to just delete it out of existence.

All this is my way of popping in saying hello to my CS brothers and sisters(if any left).
F...it, im going to boost all servers for 7 days as a gift for this lovely community. Prepare for hackers next week lol

Hello Drake, it's always good to see old, or maybe ancient would be more fair to say considering how long this community's been running, members showing up from time to time and of course knowing everyone's doing well after all these years.

I myself have been in some of Ambrosia's great moments, but for sure missed many others. I still remember the good old days when Jailbreak was packed and we had over 10 CS servers to choose from that'd be full of people waiting to have some fun with anyone joining them. Sure there was drama as well, but we were almost a whole society with people from all over the world, and what I keep from those days are only the good moments, the friends I made(some of them have lasted for over 10 years now) and nothing more.

We all know gaming communities are not as popular as they were back then, especially CS oriented ones, but as I've expressed before, this forum hosts so much content and memories it would be rude and senseless to take it all away from the members, keeping it on an old hard drive and let it be forgotten, and that's the sole reason I personally, having had my share of contributing to this community mostly on its later years, made sure the forum and some servers are still running. They'll probably never get full again, but to me, when I open this forum, even seeing empty servers still running, almost completes the image of nostalgia. Add in the fact we try and make some JB gatherings once every few months or so or boost DD2 for some hours of good old fun, I don't see the point of shutting them down as long as the costs are minimum.

I thank you, and many other old members/staff/whatnot that may read this, for your contribution to this community, for your love towards it and your kind words in this topic. Take this as a place you'll always get to visit to reminish the old days and escape from your real life worries. This will always be home.

Let me also note that if anyone ever wishes, there's still lots of old members on our Discord Server, in case they have lost contact.
