IP Bans

Hi,
This is a simple suggestion,
Fixing steamID bans will make ambrosia have less "banevaders".
In general, what I am saying HERE is true.
(Not the case, in general)
A "banevader"'s routine:
1- He gets banned
2- Goes to sleep (turns PC off, and router)
3- Wakes UP
4- After a couple of days thinks "Im gona play JB"
5- turns on router, and PC
Meanwhile a banevader uses steamID changer to evade.

How do you plan to fix them?

How were they fixed in the past?

I asked you simple question to explain. If you know how explain, if not, just state that you want us to find a solution to Fix Steam IDs Somehow.

I dont know how the current system works, and where bans are saved (i guess database).
Therefore i cannot explain or give a solution for this. But im pretty sure it has one.

So your suggestion is: Highstaff needs to find a solution to fix SteamID bans, because CHEATERS are not aware that they are cheating and then ban evading. So we have to give them a chance and let them know they are Banevading.

Do you even have an idea of that outcome?
- In 100 daily banned guys, only 1 or none comes to visit ambrosia-servers.eu for the reason of their Ban.
- Every ban evader will say that they didn't know they are ban evading just to get some chance in getting unbanned.

And your routine about the banners -> You forgot to mention these parts:
- Activates cheats
- Get banned by admin

Steam ID bans along with IP bans are working perfectly fine, and cheaters/banevaders stand no chance in ruining our servers. Which is their prime objective.

I do not support this suggestion to Fix something that is not broken.

Let's hear out more opinions,

I bet 99% bans in 100 pages (at least) are by IP

Werent 'banevaders" banned for a short period of time?
If they would have been banned by ID, they would have waited 5 mins, rather than wasting 10 minutes in finding a probably full of viruses extension.
Im not talking about cheaters, as they get banned and banevade on purpose (most of them).

If they are not broken, then im sorry, I misunderstood it, then ill change the title to "Set steamID bans as default".
As I said, this has nothing to do with cheaters, but mostly with those 10 min - 1 hour bans.
But ye, lets hear other opinions.

It was fixed because I changed the ban mode from IP to SteamID from amxbans (before).

Someone might have changed them back to IP for a reason.

why me lol cant change à thing I am only in jb right now. And i can guess that it was changed due to banevaders because they were using SteamID of some one else.

Well I'm not saying that you have recently changed that, but I remember that you once told me that only people's IP were banned in Jailbreak :)

If what ron said is true, then now we have ingame registration, right?

The system is running fine.

We do not want to give out any positive chance to cheaters just because of a routine that makes sense only for 1 % of all the cheaters.
