AMBROSIA'S FORUM MODERATION

Perdere qui cogitat malum in eam

As we've seen Ambrosia's Community Forum is growing day by day and the task of moderating it all gets harder with our other responsibilities we have to do here so to make other jobs a bit easier and to allow to concentrate on other things at hand I would like to announce the position of 'Forum Moderator'. This position is for regular community members of this Forum, in-game admins can also apply for this. I'll give you a brief explanation on the position and also include an application form to be posted as a 'reply' to this topic!

What is a Forum Moderator?

These are players that have been hand picked to represent Ambrosia's Forums, to assist us in providing forums that can be enjoyed by everyone. They only have powers in the Forums and cannot take any action against a player in the game. They cannot help you with unban requests.

What are the requirements to become a Forum Moderator?

A good understanding of the English language.
Friendly and helpful.
Always following the Forum Rules.
Active on the Community Forums.
Able to make the right decisions where needed.
SMF knowledge.

What do I get for being a Forum Moderator?

There's no benefits over any other member neither will you receive any in-game rights or advantages. You'll only receive the tools needed to moderate the Forums effectively.

Are you active daily on Ambrosia's Forum?: I am active most of the day and week days.
Have you ever received any warnings/mutes?: I have never had any warnings or mutes in ambrosia.
Why do you think you would fit the role?: The reason why I think I would fit in is because I have been Making/Designing/Editing SMF forums since 4 years ago, I know literally every little thing in these forums, so I think I would be great with this job. I know all the rules of a forum moderator, I have moderated lots of forums and I know what the job is, I know how to be fair, even if my friend was spamming or swearing or anything bad I wouldn't give him advantages I am a fair person. If there is any kind of bug, you can ask me straight away I am too good at fixing bugs. My English is perfect, I am from United Kingdom, and I can help you stop spammers, hackers. I am very trustful and easy to make a good friendship with. If there was someone spamming I would give them a verbal warning and then I would warn then if they continue, I hope you read this all.

Have you ever received any warnings/mutes? Yes, in my begin by Red Snake aka Oliver, one by Deniz and one today :p
Why do you think you would fit the role? I dont play cs, but i can help you in forums. I've been part of high staff almost everywhere, even in wtb, so why not ambrosia?

Edit: I know also almost everything in smf + im active whenever i can (almost every day)

I like helping people especially with some forum issues. I have already made tons of forums for some people that asked me and I have also restored my old database forum too many times whenever i had a bug. I've also made an ipb forum like old ambrosia for free for my clan and with same design. I have also been h.a in wtb (with forum rights), fm in a lot of communities and even emperor. I want to help ambrosia, my favorite and first community.

I also speak 6 languages, I can also help in traduce.

Why do you think you would fit the role?: I like going through posts everyday, most of the time i report players (cheaters or rulebreakers to high staff to keep forums/servers happy and safe and i would fit the role because i don't swear and i'm always in for a laugh with another member of the community :)

How long have you been using Ambrosia's Forum?: Since it's beginning. I joined around January after it's opening. My account was deleted as I left around August last year, but rejoined around November.
Are you active daily on Ambrosia's Forum?: Yes.
Have you ever received any warnings/mutes?: No
Why do you think you would fit the role?: I would fit the role since I am active on forum daily even if I don't play CS. I think sometimes I am on forum more than on any game.
I might not be the perfect person for it since I have my issues which I am dealing with and slowly I am getting sorted them. Otherwise I am good with handling and sorting things out. As forum is more official I won't interfere unless necessary and mostly would take high staff advice on how some things should be handled. I would be very help full on updating things like administrator lists. Have a good eye to detail and would treat my rank with respect and seriousness it needs.
I am also objective and even if I know the person I would not look at how bad or good he is since all should be respected in the same way. I know some may think that I am not objective, but being a member I pretty much can have my opinion and a rage here or there against some people like Ipawn, that of course changes holding a responsible position. Would take the best decisions I can and prove me trustworthy.
I have a good level of English and I follow the rules, of course depending on situation some rules can be bent and some enforced to keep balance.

I hope you will consider my application and maybe accept it. I would be happy to help and give my hand for this community which I love and been a member for a long time.

Also I think admins should be allowed to create the applications like as I said I am most active on forum and game when my internet is better although if it's not allowed then this should be deleted, thanks.

Personally i think we should keep it for non-admins only. I now see Ed and Roni applying. They will get hope, well on the end they make no chance :D. Kinda upsetting for them

I know, but as raven just said; we'll only use admin applications as reference. Admins make no chance in getting Forum MOderator.

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words):k:i was a FM on some of biggest communities and had knowledge about forums-can make spammers stop it-can make forums look really beautiful-my English is good and i am helpfull with everything,i can make really good suggestions to make the forums easily and beautiful/casper the emperor already knows my skills as i was a forums moderator in a community we shared and i helped with the basics of forums and i'm always active so if any member has troubles i'm here to help. and i helped wtb once in past and the good members liked me but bec. of bad people left to help here and always teaching people to become better with forums.

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): Way too tired to do that. Written enough essays on the forums, just go look up some of the old posts and you will find 1000 word posts. I'll just give you guys a quick overview of my forum management history.

-First and active SMF forum I created and managed was in 2007.
-In 2008 I opened a community (not CS) where I used IPB boards (still SMF), ran the forums for about 2 years before closing the community along with the forums.
-Created a great number of forums for different clans and communities, for my own clan and about 7-8 others that I can remember right now.
-The latest SMF board I managed was with OpTiC community, where I had to build the forums from scrap and I did it within 2 days (All forums interfaces, graphics, boards, pages sorted out + main topics, such as admin applications, all rules, information topic, etc.)

So what comes to the SMF ACP, then it's one of the easiest things for me in webcoding.

P.S. I shouldn't have any problems with writing in formal English, ask around if you don't believe.

now everyone is going to apply for it , that's human nature aye ! Every one wants more power !
I think that it would marvelous and better to keep it in the old way !
High staff would choose the forum moderators ! Needless any form of applications or whatsoever !
Yes , You can choose as much as moderators you want and under any criteria you want ! but it would way better if it wasn't like this :D

Simple, i have been fm here for 2 months on trial period which i blew it for ipawn's issue for compulsive lying. If you notice since im that active i made good topics in the past for certain value and help around. I brought some things to ambrosia from where i came like the infamous hldj which made a lot of "sales".
Im really strict (that means i have no psychological barrier anymore for anybody), and now currently i'm getting short on internet friends to not corrupt and interfere with my job like previously. Currently by the rumors of that time i was called "successful", never made a mistake in banning or issuing warnings on people, because i was in most cases right. I had a objective of updating important topics and as you can see were updated with great outcome. The fm was given by ezza so i had something to do when i couldn't play cs (he knows why i couldn't then) and given me a actual chance which surprised me. Fitting is not a matter of a issue, everybody can be a fm but also can make crucial mistakes and problems with staff. These applications before me do deserve it more since are valuable more then me. Still im not sure if corruption and nepotism will be a daily thing here if we accept all of them. Currently i was inactive for 3 days so i can earn 6 A's for my subjects and isn't really often. The final preservation which i made is that *keeper of history* function where i currently am working on it to make it the longest, formal-est, interesting,optimistic topic in all of my 120 communities

To keep up with demand of moderation of the forums, we are announcing another wave for selection. Please read Here (http://www.ambrosia-servers.com/community/index.php?topic=5183.msg79253#msg79253) for all the information needed and application form.

I want to remind everyone this is not a topic to leave support/no support/opinions or any other sort of discussion. This topic is solely and only for the applications to be posted. If anyone posts something but the application, it will be removed by the Forum Administration Team and continuing to do so will get you warned or moderated. So if you have any questions PM a Emperor of a Forum Moderator.

Also, members who have posted before in this topic will an application will need to re-post an application.

How long have you been using Ambrosia's Forum?: Before it even start. I was a valuable part in S*N then it got transformed to Ambrosia.
Are you active daily on Ambrosia's Forum?: I am checking forum every day and trying to be as much as up to date.
Have you ever received any warnings/mutes?: I have never been warned, muted, or abused any rights.
Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): First of all, I have always been loyal to Ambrosia, despite the facts that other communities have offered me different and higher positions. Like I said I have never abandoned Ambrosia and never will. My English level is very high, because I have been learning English since I was 5 years old. I have finished C2, which is the top English educational level. What is more I always stick by the rules, and that is why Maybe I am hated because of some random players who do not have clue who am I. I am very strict when it comes to rules, plus I have a "rare skill", I never take anything personal like most of the guys. I am pretty active on the forums both Ambrosia and wTB. Finally when it comes to making right decision I think I am the best Internet guy for that, because I study law and my future career is Judge, which requires calm, respect, and what is the most important, to be a gentleman in every occasion. And about the SMF knowledge, I am introduced with it, but I think I can do better. :) So according to the information presented up I think I can fit the role of forum moderator 80%.

And I had my own Forum (for my clan). And i really got a Nice English that can make me a Forum Moderator. And I've never Made any mistake in my Forum Moderator Career.

Hello Ambrosia.
Regarding to the massive changes which we had as a consequent of merging two big active communities which resulted more activity in posting and replying .
We all noticed the overspamming and low rated performance have became a big issue in this forums.
So as a person who has experince , the abbility to control and lead this forums and for sure improves it performance and also try my best to solve the other issues that I've already mentioned before, I would like to apply for the role of FM.
hopefully to earn this chance as it may
open other doors to me in this community .

How long have you been using Ambrosia's Forum?: Just Started again as you know wtb and ambroisa get merged

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): Respected members as the mess caused by the merging had caused alot of problems which ended in more issues more topics and more spamming and i think 1 Fm is not enough to manager the whole forum I think i'm gone fit in this role because I'm quite well experienced i used to be the forum moderator in wtb, than time by time i got permoted and because Uc and later cs leader, I think after the merge this is the first opportunity for the wtb members to proof their skills And i think the owners/emperors should choose some on from wtb to cover their losses.
I think i can be very helpful to you guys if you give me chance

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): I've been Head Forum Moderator in wTB, I'm known as the fastest moderator ever, I can do more than one thing in the same time, I helped many people in running their SMF forum, I know how to re-code some packages, also adding some coding required packages, I also made 3 forums before, just to revise my SMF skills and upgrading them. This all I can say, I hope those are 200-250 words ::)

I would like to say that i might be a good FM cuz i have made like 20 forums (some of them are jusst test forums) so i have pritty much SMF knowledge. i have not much more to say, but please dont make ur desition based on my age! I know about SMF -___-

i have 2 vids at the moment.. but heres "how to upload a theme" but i notised that i made it the hard way... i will make another were i jusst press "upload theme" on the "admin" section xD (fail :D)

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): Way too tired to do that. Written enough essays on the forums, just go look up some of the old posts and you will find 1000 word posts. I'll just give you guys a quick overview of my forum management history.

-First and active SMF forum I created and managed was in 2007.
-In 2008 I opened a community (not CS) where I used IPB boards (still SMF), ran the forums for about 2 years before closing the community along with the forums.
-Created a great number of forums for different clans and communities, for my own clan and about 7-8 others that I can remember right now.
-The latest SMF board I managed was with OpTiC community, where I had to build the forums from scrap and I did it within 2 days (All forums interfaces, graphics, boards, pages sorted out + main topics, such as admin applications, all rules, information topic, etc.)

So what comes to the SMF ACP, then it's one of the easiest things for me in webcoding.

P.S. I shouldn't have any problems with writing in formal English, ask around if you don't believe.

I am here since 2010, and all I could do for Ambrosia was be admin in Zombie/Surf/Jail-break servers, and I feel like I am not doing nothing for this community, so I want to help like I can. I would be very grateful if you give me this chance because I would do my best job here. Of course I am sure that here some members are better than me for take this role but with me you are not going to repent. I can learn fast if I dont understand something (you explain me something if I ask you about how one thing must be done).
It would be fantastic if you can keep in mind this application because I want help all the new members and of course take the more successful decision in each post (and if is necessary consult the high staff).

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): I've been Forum moderator for many communities and games that are populated so this wouldn't be the first time. I've been a support too so I know how to handle with most of the things thats coming up every day in websites like this one. The communities used same forum as the current so I wouldn't have to get used to the website, I already know most of it ;)

My primary goal is to help people that got problems and I'm strict when it comes to rules. You got to follow them otherwise theres a chance that you will get a warning or even a ban if it's something really serious.

Due to adv, I dont want to tell where I was a Forum Moderator but I can promise you that you wont get disappointed.

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): Writing around 200 words will make the essay too long to people for read it, better to keep it short and clean, mainly id like to apply for this role cause would like to help bit more, I do enjoy reading the forum about 20 mins every hour or so, so I believe you should work hard to keep the place you like as you like, specially now when lot of new people are coming would like to help them to get used to our forum and rules. Wrote about 90 words, writing more its just talking more than what its really needed ^^

Why do you think you would fit the role (write an essay, between 200-250 words): I think that I would fit the role because I am active mostly on servers but as well as on forums. I joined Ambrosia Times crew so that people get more familiar with me as I am known to some people but to some I am new. I am very mature and sometimes I just love to joke around with people. I am not strict but sometimes I can be. When it comes to decisions I always make the best possible. My english level is high as I am Polish although I live in Scotland for five years (there you have the reason of my Scottish accent) now and I am still improving. SMF, hmm.. To be quite honest I have not got much experience with it as I have never been a moderator but if I get a little tut on it I will grasp it in couple of minutes, I am quite a fast learning guy. :)
