AMBROSIA XMAS

Hello Ambrosians,

Since it's Christmas soon we have prepared a little game and different surprises with it. This is one of our little way to say Thanks to Ambrosians. Since our Forums is set in a Christmas look we will be Happy to announce that in this game you will be able to win different stuff.

So how this will work. Basically what we gone do is hide different icons in different topic's or Members profiles that actually changed the history of Ambrosia or did something great for it. So within this icon once you have found it there will be a gift inside the gift box's. So you basically can win different stuff.

There will be :

1) 2x : 10 €Steam Gift card

2) 1x 30 € : Chose your own game that you want us to buy for you

3) 2x : To get a Special rank in our forums with your own unique icons for rank provided by you "obviously with not the same colors of our staff rank or not the same names and names that don't make you look as staff"

4) 2x : 6 months VIP in jailbreak server with your special skin one side T or CT

5) 5x : 2000 Jailbreak Points

6) 2x 50 % off on things that you can buy in Ambrosia

So basically this will be the icon : (http://i66.tinypic.com/mjvehw.png)

What you have to do once you find the icon ? Once you find the gift box you have to click on it and it will give you a message that you won you need to screenshot that and screenshot the place you found it and send me a pm. But if it says "Whoops, looks like someone else has opened this box." that means that the gift box is already opened by someone else so you need to find another one :D. So good luck to everyone.

I am the only one that will be aware of where are the icons no one else from the staff team will know about it. So basically there is no cheating or what so ever ;).

One more thing if the gift box's are not found by the 20 th of january i am gone make a random gift by numbers that will be chosen by members. There are 14 gift box's exactly. And all the gift's will be given the 21st January so people have time to enjoy their holiday's and have fun with their family.

Well at least some had fun searching and those people mostly who found those are searching for hours. For the icon.png i will leave redwolf to answer that since he setted up all the links i have no clue on that.

@Rawrplus did you let them know about this via PM or just posted here? You just helped people a way around by publicly describing how it can be cheated. Not smart is it?

@Santa-Claus perhaps you should re-do all this. No way of knowing who won it legitimately or exploited it :D

Other than that, I used pre-generated tokens which we assigned to a prize. I do have the exact time when the prize was found, so we might have to alter some prizes found after the first one.

And if im right, this works only on posts? Because half of the prizes were somewhere else.

Post by: Andrew` on December 17, 2018, 03:39:39 pm: Well tbh I doubt most winners used that method, it's not as obvious as it would be for others, I'd probably count 3-4 people max, including people that came up with it only after Rawrplus mentioned it in the first place, I don't think most of us would actually think of a way to go that deep. Last but not least, there were others, like me, that did not bother search at all :D :D

P.S. I'm mostly worried about the fact anyone can win multiple of those, if only we could make it 1-2 gifts max per person, more unfair than a loophole that one might not even come up with before it's too late.

Yes, this is exclusive to posts only. There is one more method via which i was able to find two more gifts, but it is much less reliable (basically a blind search)
I posted about the exploit only after all the post ones were claimed :)

So you don't have to worry about me ruining it potentially. That obviously doesn't mean I necessarily had to be only one who came up with this idea, so there is some question about the integrity of the results., but hopefully not :)
