Dear all,
I hope you are all well and in good spirits for upcoming festivities, specially those in Europe. I certainly am heading that way.
Yes, I did vanish for a good amount of time from Ambrosia and I did somewhat warn Ron that it might happen, unfortunately it happened in the most undesirable circumstances where I cut the contact with everyone here without notice and I quit my job at the same time. Long story short, I suffered depression due to someone close passing away when I least expected it and had planned to visit them. There is more to it, but I rather not go into too much details. I hope you understand.
I have started a new job in IT and I love what I am doing and I am going to finish this year on a good note. I am very busy in my new job, which means that my time here will not be as it used to be. I can see that after New years, I will possibly will have more time which also means more time for Ambrosia and other things.
I am sad to see several leavers like Refresh (Pringles) and Sycho, although both expected for their own reasons. I would expect @SychO back for summer time to see if can do some updates on the site, but right now, the site is great and I love the changes and I love the snow somewhat. I believe @Red Wolf set that up. So thank you.
As you can see, Red wolf is in Co-Owner rank, this is only temporary until me and Ron both are back in full activity. It is helpful for either of us, because having 2 people oversee is better than one.
There will be several staff changes, like new additions to the team and some movement within our current staff. We are currently actively looking for a DD2 Manager and Silverquick is going to move in to Forum Moderation rank once we have found a suitable candidate.
Counter strike 1.6 servers - JB (or PB) and surf are both shut down until further notice. Currently we will only have a single dd2 server and focus on CSGO servers running. There will be 1 minecraft server which I will discuss in detail with Velaxers and those interested in making it work.
We are also going to rethink (next year) what ambrosia will become. By this I mean, we want to be more than just providing servers which always goes into a loop of getting ddossed and we have to start from 0. Even though we have an awesome ddoss protection my point still stands. So we will be looking into re-create ambrosia and more content and completely take it apart next year.
So in summary, 1,6 servers we will only have 1 official Ambrosia server managed by @TjaardA and the rest of additions can be community type where one of you has the drive and knowledge to create it, populate it make it successful. (you automatically become a server manager and you are fully responsible for that server. We will provide free space for you to create it etc.)
Anyway that is it in a nutshell. I have not made this text fancy and easy to read. I know, sucks. But as I said, I have limited time so I am giving heads up on certain things what will happen.
We might also throw in a Xmas Giveaway with some CS 1.6 / CSGO/ Bioshock copies and 50Euros. More like some late contest, but we will see if we can manage to make something in such short notice. It will probably be your generic stuff where you can get free shit easy! So stay tuned, you don't want to miss if it happens! :)

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how you feel.
Also, I feel removing surf and jb was a good idea, it was inactive anyways, and I think you guys should focus on other games more.
I'm not saying that you should completely remove jb (since it was quite a success in ambrosia), but if it's dead empty for months, there's no point of having it. Maybe try something new with jb, see if it works and then remove it if it doesn't.

Well drunky, i know its inactive but its not completly inactive and no one joins it u know... pinvite 2 people and within 10min u will find 10 people, but your right it is inactive, its so sad seeing JB removed

Really very sad on hearing that someone from ur family or who was close to u is no more.. :'(
And also I am happy that u got a new job in IT and most important u r happy doing it, Hope u have a good future in it.. Well it's christmas and u came here in ur really busy schedule is really appreciated.
I am new here I don't know u personally, but I understand ur feelings and also ur problems. Many times in life this happens, the unexpected happens and the expected never happens. ;)
I will not talk about the servers coz none of my business unless I feel, well DD2 is one of the best servers, currently.
And also , Be happy with what u do and also don't feel depressed just be free share ur feelings with ur loved ones or closed ones and hope u will be less depressed and more free and free minded. Hope this helps

natural selection will organically make the community popular again, im loving this
1 question tho, will the community servers be CS:GO or 1.6?

Sorry for your loss Ed, I have been there and I know it's not easy. However, it's nice to have you back and well.
Like I said numerous times, I totally agree that we should move on, check out other games, and stop focusing on 1.6. Let me also point out that all the toxic children that have attacked Ambrosia over tha past years mostly came here because of 1.6, so moving on could possibly mean much less attacks. CS:GO with more support and love towards the servers and Rambaten could help our community a lot, and not just that. Minecraft(like you said), Rust, bringing back Arma and maybe even games like L4D2 and CS:S(they still have lots of players) could help us "invest" and get more popularity. The more options, the more players, and I guess many people are here to help.
