Title: Andrew's One
Post by: Andrew` on July 11, 2017, 11:57:50 am
So here's me, my sloppy, boring, big-ass autobiography which I'm writing mostly cause why not. My real name is Andreas, born 7th of April 1996 on Sunday, my parents are Ben and Linda and I have a little sister named Marina. I started playing PC games and mostly CS at a young age, and was IN LOVE with CS's SuperHero mod. It was after looking for SH servers that made me join couple of communities, such as RedZone(few peeople here know it) and of course, wTB. My nick was mostly "Undercloacked" back then and although I'd known Ambrosia since I don't even remember, it was on its peak I guess and looked large and maybe a little messy too which made me feel tired even on the thought of making an intro :D I would play in the servers every now on then, but that was all.

One day I thought "what the heck, I'll make an intro". It was the times when wTB, my "home" community in which I started growing up to the virtual stuff, was descending, about to close, and many members moved here, so it felt less lonely for me. That was about 5 years ago(?).  I met some people initially, like Mister, Dominic, Killerftw, Ezza and  knew already some people like Silver Shooter, Roni, Jake, ReFresh aka Pringles, and few others who are a memory I barely even remember anymore. I later applied for DD2 admin and eventually got accepted. I think I carried out my duties greatly which earned me trust and a good image overall in this bright community. Later on I administrated Jailbreak and having seen that(like in all communities) there can be conflicts and issues I wanted to help at least from my side, which made me apply for Unban Panelist. At that point I suppose my "reputation" was at its peak. I was working as hard as I could, had made friends, loved my gaming life and the community, and kept contributing as much as I could. I got accepted and did my best for more than a year.

However, that's when my life duties started kicking in. My family got divorced, and I had lots of debts on me due to that. I had to work more and harder to manage to pay for everything and help my family solve their issues, but it was just too much. Tried to keep up to my pleasure as well, which was Ambrosia and gaming, which I did manage for some time, but just some time. Some months later, I was a candidate for the Jailbreak management, and I wanted to take that opportunity, simply cause at the time it was my favourite server, Ambrosia had made me love JB more than SH. Tried my best for a few months, but of course there will always be pressure and judgement, which at the time I could not take, considering my messed up life at the time. I did a big mistake, and then had to suddenly leave the community, leaving very little and short notice. Work load became bigger, anxiety bigger, and keeps up building to this day, 4 years later. I still work hard to pay the debts of the past and hopefully this year or the next I'll be finally done. Some months later I returned, made a new start, tried to do my best as an admin again in DD2 last year and you know the rest.

I am now finally managing to balance things, making a successful career until now, expecting a promotion by the end of the season and fixing things one at a time, also keeping up here as well. Got a beautiful little sister and a beautful goddaughter who I love. I do wish I could get more hours of sleep, but meh, I'll survive :D I work in a big five star hotel, one of the best in the world, moving around, having worked at 8 different departments of the hotel(yes, 8 ), learning, getting my ass kicked, but it will probably reward me soon. If that happens, next year will be better on some aspects but tougher, and could possibly end my gaming life. I am not looking at that right now though, I'm looking at today and tomorrow. I got about 3 months left of work, then a big ass free winter for myself, and then we'll see :) P.S. I LOVE football, used to be in a team, love PC gaming and writting books in my freetime(yes, that's right, you read it).

Thank you for reading, love you all!(except the fgts who hate, let them burn in purgatory)

I see that you've held responsibility at a young age. You see, we all have struggles in life, we all hide a lot behind every smile, but to me it's just like Fredrick Douglass says : "Without a struggle, there can be no progress". I believe that you holding responsibility at a young age made you a really nice and mature guy (despite you being very stubborn at times :D).
All the best with your career Andrew, and hopefully you'll get the promotion that you're looking for.
I'll just end with this quote since you mentioned haters :D :
“Learn to use the criticism as fuel and you will never run out of energy.”– Orrin Woodward

Thank you for your words mate. Good quotes there, but a small note, gaming is not the place to get good criticism, positive or negative, that's why I said haters, not judges :) It's all about toxic drama nowadays.

Even in the gaming world, since you were in a managing position, by default you became open to criticism. I do agree with you though that there is a big difference between criticism and hate. Negative criticism can come from a person who loves you for you to become better, but hate never. It comes either from a misunderstanding, or intentions that most of the times are toxic, and sadly the latter is all I see lately.

That's a one touching life story you had there, i can't imagine living in those conditions.
I still remember the first time i played with you (yp your name was underclocked back then)on JB when i was commanding and you made fun of me in the map which has an AWP in the surf area(i forgot the name, but it was a great map, we really should put it back XD)
anyways you were always good to me(not in the start when you messed up with servers and my ping got high ), i know am annoying and i annoyed you a lot, i also remember you kept ignoring my messages on steam xD, but thats cz i loved yu <3 .. you were always a good friend and i never knew your hardships, well that ofcourse is because u never told anyone i guess (and that's your fault)  :P

you suffered and kept moving, This hard work will payoff, it  always does, best of luck for your future bro, hope you get your promotion  8)

P.S u still are a noob thou, cant command, cant kill, cant rebel .. u suck !
