Our very first Christmas as Owners of Ambrosia and together with all of you guys and what a year this has been! Looking back at the start of this year it was a very hectic time for a lot of people involved with the takeover and things have happened for better or for worse! We have risen and then hit rock bottom at times, due to in-activities from everyone in the team, yet we slowly crawled out of that pitch black pit.
Most of us are going to be away with our families for the festive time and we will be back in the New year, if DD2 has a lot of cheaters and no admins are online, we apologize, nothing new there, we will just have to try to see other ways of doing things.
Over the course of the year, we have acquired a great forum theme from @SychO who we still thank for as not only did he make the forum theme, but created a lot of neat things and made our ideas possible. For example, not everyone knows this page yet as we have not published it for some reason - Ambrosians From All Around The World (https://www.ambrosia-servers.com/community/index.php?action=ambroworld), then, Hall Of Fame (https://www.ambrosia-servers.com/community/index.php?action=hof), Staff List (https://www.ambrosia-servers.com/community/index.php?action=staff) - With 2 different options of how to view it, Portal (https://www.ambrosia-servers.com/) and a lot of other smaller things. So one person has majorly changed our Forum and it's experience from our ideas and his own initiative and creativity. We thank you SychO for all the work you have done for us this year. He did receive CS 1.6 Steam and CS:GO games from us as a small token for his work, but that does not begin to express our gratitude.
@Red Wolf has done greatly on covering CSGO whilst we were trying to get someone to do them, even with a lack of knowledge, he did quite well for making the servers even though that wasn't his role. He is now working on some projects, one of which is going to be looking into changing how we integrate with the forum.I know this is going to be a massive change in Ambrosia's History as it has never been done before. Another big thank you to Red Wolf is for his massive contribution at the start of the year. As he found out by accident that ambrosia-servers.com was available on the market and bought it and transferred it to us! Many things would not be possible if it were not for this and I am sure that if it wasn't for his contribution it would of been a very different story. Again, we cannot thank Red Wolf enough, thank you for being with us and your loyalty won't be forgotten.
@Ray & @Pringles you guys have always sided with us and have always been loyal to us, which we thank you. To be honest that gives us the boost we need to continue and that fact that we have guys like you on board. We wouldn't have it any other way. Even though Ray has resigned, he was still a valuable team member and the same as Pringles (Refresh). A lot of forum tasks and updates were made by them and @Big Bob. One huge thing is that since we have taken over, Moderators have received a massive boost in responsibilities and access, Ron and I were not wrong to give you that trust. You have been sensible with the rights you have and we appreciate that. Also, thank you for easing up and being more lenient towards our members.
@SilverQuick & @Cocainee Vendetta you guys are fairly fresh in the team and there is still things to be seen by the 2 of you and we hope you will manage Servers as sensible and professional as you can, without of course forgetting fun.......and more fun. We are happy for you guys to be in the team and you have done well. A big thank you to SilverQuick for unbanning over 400 steam id's due to the banevader.
@mexxi we were sad to see you go, but we understand your commitments in your personal life. It was a great pleasure working with you.
@Velaxers, @Munne & @Currywurst_36, unfortunately Munne has been very busy and he left us, but we thank you nevertheless, as you have put in a lot of work in building base of Minecraft servers development with Velaxers. It is a pleasure to have had you in the team. Velaxers, we had our ups and downs with you, no hiding that, but you still proved to be a valuable tech, setting up TS3 and introducing Archon clan to Ambrosia. Curry joined us from Archon clan taking the place of Munne on continuing development of MC and what a pleasure it is to see that we are nearly there now, even though it has taken a while to get things done, you both have done greatly and I cannot wait for Minecraft to be launched soon. Thank you guys.
@RAMBATEN :D It has been a long process to get you part of the team and we are glad you are with us and we hope for good. We extremely needed a CSGO Tech and call it a lost cause as we just could not do it right even with Red wolfs help it wasn't enough and we needed someone who can take good care of them. You are new in the team and there is lots yet to be seen, but the development of CSGO servers and activity is only going to increase next year. So take care of our babies.
@Jake another new comer to the team and we have only just started on things we need to do to open Arma 3 Servers next year. A fresh development with an old member, we still don't know much as of yet, but we greatly hope that Jake is going to be a great addition, helping us get just that bit closer to what we want to do with Ambrosia. We are glad you are a part of the team and we can join heads together.
@Fisu , is going to have a busy year in 2017 as we are planning on a lot of activity in this area. You've done great and we have worked together to set the upcoming tournament and we hope its going to be a great success.
Unban and Report Panelists - ( @Horizon @D00M @silex™ @momarms @java GIRL @Kiwi - some of you are fresh and there are still lots of things to learn, but I see improvement in unban panel even with all the mistakes done, work as a team and it will be great as you guys are the last line of defense to give justice to banned players, whether innocent or guilty. Special thanks to @RioT for taking care of reports, you have done greatly and we thank you very much for it. Keep it up! :)
Honorable mentions - @thEnd where did you disappear again? Hope all is well and you'll come back to us when it's possible mate.
@X-KilleR, even though we didn't part in good terms, I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, there is no point in holding a grudge as we just have to get on with it.
So what about the servers? Well DD2 is creeping up it's rank as expected, we have had troubles all over the year, but nevertheless it is getting better. Admins are doing a great job when they are there and most of the team knows what they are doing. Thank you for administrating our server all of the DD2 Admin team!
A note about their in-activities: I will be explaining a little bit more about how and why it is what it is and share our planned strategy to ensure administrator coverage during the days.
CSGO is under development and it is going to get a lot more attention next year, as we want to fill those servers up with players and make some tournaments during the course of next year.
Minecraft as I said earlier will be launched very soon and we are expecting a lot of activity there. More will come.
Arma 3 is under development and we would be looking for the launch around February, May at the latest.
TS3: We are going to acquire a bigger license in January to ensure that if we do get a lot of people joining, there is space for them.
Forum: There is going to be a massive change within the next 1-2 months. You will have to wait and see for this one as we are not ready yet to talk about it, but I can say it will hugely change the way Ambrosia has been to what we are expanding to. We will definitely have a test period and I believe it will be a bit of finding new ways of doing things and re-thinking the structure.
So lastly we are preparing for a great 2017, because frankly this year has not been the best for most and even myself included, but guess what! We have survived it till Christmas and I am glad that we are all here. I hope over this course of year you guys have been happy with us and our way of doing things and even if not, we will always hear the criticism from anyone, at the end of the day, we all are still here because it's a sentimental value for most people and to the new people! Welcome!
Don't forget that Tournament starts on 13th of January! All the registrants will be informed with more details if any arise, at the start of the next month!
