Have you ever noticed or lets say I believe that as soon as the community started adding CS:GO servers ... all servers started to fail and go empty most times, I bet this well get a few people on there nerves .. calm down and let me explain.
Have you ever though how much rich you should be to play CS:GO fairly? sum up the costs of additions you have added to your PC after you downloded CS:GO,.. Some might had already a good quality PC but many others cant even enter the game...
Have you ever explained why ambrosia is giving up CS 1.6? I believe everyone deserves to know why I mean the real why!
dont say cs 1.6 is dead.. no its not and it wont trust this.
Please tell me how should I feel after the only community that I loved since the beginning has forbid me the only game I ever loved :)

You don't need to be rich to own csgo. You need a pc worth 250 euro, to play on 60 fps which is enough when you adapt yourself.
CS 1.6 with decent players only is not dead true, but harder to fill then csgo players. We had a 1v1 server running perfectly 24/7 full until it was down, ever since we did not set it up correctly.
In 1.6 you NEED to BOOST the server otherwise ITS dead which is a question of costs. When you're ready to boost the server 5 months in a row, then yes, why not contact high staff and make it happen, although after 10 months, you'll have only good players left, (aroun 15-30) as other servers, like steam only servers already got their playerbase which won't go away.
Daily 1.6 is loosing steam players, check that stat's there's no point in increasing 1.6. I disagree with you. CSGO is the future of counter strike at the moment and there's nothing that's going to change this fact.

Until cs:go becomes free-to-play like dota 2, cs 1.6 will be alive as the most successful counter strike game published pre-GO

I never said differently. For a game that has been released 1999, it's the best ever yes, but atm csgo is better than 1.6 and the playerbase of steamer's is higher much higher and servers have a much bigger chance for activity than 1.6 servers.
Now looking at it from the perspective of a community, what do you think is more worth it?

Im still not convinced that cs:go is the future of counter strike, I would rather believe that its completely a different game.
I also believe that many players from ambrosia are thirsty to play cs 1.6 again so why prevent this from happening ? Money?
Im ready to boost servers as I have recently made my own cash card, I would do anything to see CS 1.6 servers back to the community!
this community tastes really bad without cs 1.6
Surf / Deathrun / Superhero / Basebuilder / Classic / Hide & Seek
All good .. yeah, all horribly good

Then tell me where were these so interested cs 1.6 player the past 2 years? I've been litterly the only one caring to boost those servers and yet we had not enough active admins not enough players nothing. It's not gonna work it never did work after 2013, our 1.6 servers were always up and we always had excuses for why it wasnt working, it just never did work. Open your eyes, or can you tell me a reason why it did not work? We had the best of the best taking care of the codings, (Tony, CC etc.) the only active server was JB AND now look at it? rarely somone even joins it.

I recently got cs:go.
I'm not gonna lie the game is decent. Feels much better. Yes, the physics are a little harder. It's not easy to throw grenades at it was in cs 1.6 But that's what interesting in game. A lot of legit players. What's more important you can find any competitive game at any time. So, I do believe it's a future of cs.

You can't kill cs 1.6 old school always <3

IMHO (even though I'm not an old member)
Ambrosia is not moving to CSGO because it's the future of counter strike, but mainly because Ambrosia has spent enough time (4 or 5 years I guess) in CS 1.6 and it's time to move on with something (s) different, without completely stop CS 1.6,
Also I don't agree on the Ambrosians thirsty for CS 1.6 part.
Tell me if I'm wrong but it's just my point of view.

Depends also of Ambrosia members, most of them are still interested of playing at 1.6 servers the most speaking of myself included.

It's kind of a paradox, because there's literally 0 reason to even be interested in 1.6 from management standpoint.
Most of the 1.6 playerbase that's left are kids who can't afford to buy the game and that's not exactly the audience you want to have in a good gaming community, on the other hand, most of ambrosia's playerbase is 1.6 players.
Either way, might as well fully move to different games. I don't think CS:GO is that great either, maybe just entirely new game altogether because at the moment the community is stale and is only declining in numbers and popularity.

If we manage to bring back 1.6 to community and daily boost it with enough cash I bet we will see more than hundreds of comebacks to the community.. many many left because they are not interested in only CS:GO and im one of them ... keep cs:go but also add at least 5 different servers of cs 1.6.
@Fisu the last 2 years when cs 1.6 was there.. you asked why players were not interested to play.. Its because there was no kind of MOTIVATION towards admins and players to enjoy the servers,, in those 2 years the community had fights between emperors, the community was about to disintegrate, the coders were selfish and not friendly ...
If we sum up the current team and worked again with cs 1.6 .. hmm what do you think ?

I have played cs 1.6 few thousand hours....There is nothing which would even consider me anymore to download the game..
CS:GO is todays FPS game and CS 1.6 is past...I once tried time ago 1.6 but I couldnt play anymore the game..I cant enjoy playing it and mechanics of csgo are little different...
In CSGO surf servers are the most popular servers there is...I would love to see Ambrosia putting the time for 1-2 Surf servers..
Proper managed surf server will be easily populated full..
Only thing which keeps cs 1.6 servers alive is boosting. And my friendlist 99% plays CS:GO.....All oldschoolers has changed the game..Only Duffman and Burzum plays 1.6 xD
