Title: DD2
Post by: kell_ on September 09, 2016, 11:53:43 pm
Just an idea. Wonder if you have tried it or if that would be of any interest.

anyone who is not registered. Or who's registration is accepted would have to add a prefix before their nick. Like "[Ambro]" Otherwise they can't get into the server. So they would need to change their nick to "[Ambro] Nick " .... Otherwise Admins or registered and skilled players would be able to get in without the prefix "[Ambro]" And they would have a priority. Like a slot. So if the server is full. Someone who joined last with "[Ambro]" Would be kicked out and the registered player would take their place.

Hi there, Kell.
I believe it would only bring a lot of work with it.
We have hundreds of players connecting and disconnecting to our server through out the day. Imagine the amount of work we are going to have to do with registration of players on server.
Furthermore, we only have about 10 constant players at all times. What I mean by that is approximately 10 players that are registered in our community play at all times. One disconnects the other one connects. The rest is completely random people that want to just play. Meaning they will not be bothered to register or anything of this kind.
Nevertheless, I get your point. It is a very interesting idea and I am sure after a little while we will be able to do something like this.

The point is that you can't regiater yourself. You have to be registered by administration up on request if you deserve it.

But thanks for your thought's i just wanted to discuss this and obviously you have a point
