Hi there,
Being new has it advantages and disadvantages. 1 of the biggest advantages a new member has is that he can see things from a new perspective. Ofcource this will fade over time. But since I am new I want to share some of my 50 cents.....
Suggestion:
So I talked to some admins, but none of them could tell me if ambrosia works together steambans. also when I record a demo the sb_status command is not working.
I think this community can really benefit by using steam bans http://www.steambans.com/ (http://www.steambans.com/)
So what is steambans? Well look at is as a official global database with cheaters. All the big and secure communities are registrated there.
It works like this: When u make a demo also type sb_status in console. Now the steam id (and possibly more info like IP and things) of the user is included in the demo (no more screenshots of status of IP or amx_who). All demos of banned players will be uploaded and shared to the admins of steambans. If they agree that there is a cheat they will add it to the steamban list.
It also works the other way around.. So if another active community bans a cheater and steambans added the cheater to its list (this way the cheater gets VAC BANNED status because steamban will give the list to the VAC team). He wont be able to join our servers (or other vac secure servers) (and that is what we want)
To be honest I found it unbelievable that this community has not got steambans since the beginning. This is usually one of the first things todo.

99.8% of cheaters are non-steam, I can recall only a handful of Steam users using premium hacks, and most of those bans were the same guy :D

Respect the ambro-bans that spekbinder and CC developed (special thanks to Renan,deniz and Raven ::))
I don't think another ban system would solve the nonsteam baneveders.

Moved to rejected, because our servers are dealing mostly with non-steamers and our banlist along with the ban methods are doing pretty fine.
