Title: CS:GO board [additional information]
Post by: tajski on May 31, 2015, 02:31:59 am
Hello! I do know that the suggestion has been accepted and maybe is in being done in the meantime however I'd like to make this a little bit simpler by noting down what the board should contain.

Main board - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Child boards - News, Add-ons (CFGs, scripts etc.), Trades, Guides, E-sport, Problems and Questions

News board - that's a board in order to share information that's interesting or just relevant to the game, such as team roster changes or upcoming tournaments etc.

Add-ons board - that's a board for people within the community to share their in-game configs or even any helpful scripts that they use and would like to share with others.

Trades board - that's pretty obvious, you state what you want to trade up and what you would like to get in return. Offers made in form of posts in the thread.

Guides board - you've made a guide or found one that's really helpful? Share it here!

E-sport board - this is similar to the News board however you should include only information regarding CS:GO like a school is allowing pupils to learn the game or things like that (THIS CAN BE DISCUSSED!)

Problems & Questions board - pretty self-explanatory, you post either your problems or any questions related to the game.

Threads; High Scores and Bets & Predictions can be added to another board and that can be called Other board

Also! Since we're talking about boards, we can make a separate CATEGORY and name it, (Counter-Strike World) and have both, CS:GO main board as well as create a new one for 1.6

As for 1.6, we could have just;

Main board - Counter-Strike 1.6

Child boards - Guides, Add-ons and Problems & Questions.

After that, we could create another CATEGORY and name it, (Games) and have couple of main boards and child boards such as;

Main board - Information from the Games' world

Child boards - Game Guides and even Reviews?

Main board - League of Legends!

Child boards - News, Guides, Gallery (screenshots; highscores), Problems & Questions and Off-topic (chit-chat about the game or champions etc.)

Main board - Dota 2

Child boards - similar child boards as League

Main board - Other Games

Child boards - Grand Theft Auto, World of Tanks, Minecraft, FIFA and so on...

I'm really sorry about this haha! This was meant to be an additional information that I wanted to throw so that it made it easier to create a separate board for CS:GO but instead I've also thought about making the Gaming corner slightly better organised! ;)

Opinions are more than welcome!

PS. I tried formatting it so it's easier to read so please, don't hate for it, haha! It's nearly bloody 3 AM :D

Forums will be re-done very soon.

(Maybe even today).

Maybe not any visual changes, but some feature changes.

Probably a longshot to suggest this but a restudy of FM's rights?
I mean the applicants for FM are mostly no-lifers on forums (no offence replica and frag)
So basically you can use their activity to benefit forums like making boards for clans or adding moderators for them and stuff like that..
Hope you like my suggestion.. You probably discussed it before so maybe a good time to reconsider it

I do agree with Ray,
I am not sure about the Forum Moderator rights at the moment,
But being a FORUM moderator, they should have rights to remove / add boards, this would also help boards like clan section, so they can warn inactive clans and so on.

Nice one Ray.

There's a difference between simply moderating a forum and administrating it.
Their rights suit what they as a FM are supposed to do so there's no need for any tinkering with their abilities.
The UCs+ do all the admin stuff, but most of this has been put on hold till we get a forum revamp

SMF permissions don't work that way. We can't give them permissions for creating only specific boards. This would also mean they could potentially moderate even Highstaff boards.

I know how it works actually worked on it before..
But everything can work with trust and ability to see logs... :p
Nevermind then... I take back my suggestion and i'm keeping it in my left pocket.
