Heya ,
Lot of people on jailbreak are telling me that they are having hard time while pressing K or some random key while also playing at the same time , so I'm sharing with you this script I made a while ago , basically it's made so you don't need to keep on pressing the button for the whole time
alias micerino "micerino_workerino"
alias "micerino_workerino" "+voicerecord; alias micerino micerino_offerino"
alias "micerino_offerino" "-voicerecord; alias micerino micerino_workerino"
bind "MOUSE3" "micerino"
echo "--- This script was made by your lord and saviour taha ---"
echo "--- lol jk remove these two lines ---"
basically copy this in your userconfig.cfg in your cstrike , if you do not have a userconfig file , make one and copy this in it ! Don't forget to add this "exec userconfig.cfg" (without quotes ofc) in your config.cfg file !
If you're not comfortable with MOUSE3 as the toggle button , just change it in the code I gave earlier to some other button you prefer
This was made for newbies who couldn't/didn't realise how to do it , so yeah enjoy lel !

You can also type +voicerecord in the console and then you can stop using your mic by pressing K ;)
-
left ALT is very comfortable to use for such a porpose

True , but by doing it it will continuously use the microphone , so you have no control over it , and going back to the console to disable it is a long arse procedure and annoying , tbh you could have already died before that !
and yh by using this script you can just click back again to disable the mic , so handy when you have a noisy room mate like I do :) !

So uh... what's the point...

that was so retarded from you godlike , I am disappointed .................
by doing it you have to keep pressing mouse3 all the time , hence the reason of this topic

Well, I don't really understand whats wrong with pressing MOUSE3 to use voice chat. Your hand is almost always on your mouse, making it easy to talk and move at the same time. Is there really any need to make it more complex?

how is it more complex when with the script , you are basically now just toggling the mic to speak ya ? I mean I don't know about you but I find it really annoying to keep on pressing a button all the time , and a lot of people are reporting the same annoyance , hence why I made this topic !

or have hldj and press the hldj_playaudio button without selecting any song.

not everyone likes hldj you music maniac xD , besides installing hldj and then doing it is just too much pain in the arse whereas I gave a simpler solution :D

Typing +voicerecord in console will NOT keep the microphone on, it will automatically disable itself when you are not talking. Exactly like in ts3.

Not really , I've used it many times in the past , it keeps the microphone logo at the right of the screen hence the + , in ts3 it's automatically detected and that is not implemented in GoldSrc as the engine is too old lol , it will transmit any kind of background noise without low filtering the sounds like in ts3 , the only way to stop it is to type down -voicerecord
-
You are talking about cs before valve made the latest 2013 update. Right now its as I said above.
-
There is no need for aliases or anything /scripts.
To make it easier, just type in console ;
bind "key" "+voicerecord", and whenever you press that "key" you'll be recording yourself talking.
For example, I use, bind "v" "+voicerecord"...
You may bind capslock or anything else which fits you.

It does not appear you get the point of this thread. Please read again the top post.

Tony, you and Taha were arguing for another thing.
If you type +voicerecord in console it will be recording, until you press a key that is bound to the command or undo the command by typing -voicerecord.
I prefer talking when I need to, not leaving my mic on.
-
Element the mic does NOT keep recording, in the new steam update the mic turns on automatically when you talk and mutes itself when you don't. If you have steam go in and check it. It's exactly like teamspeak3's voice detecting method.
-
Got no idea about steam, what I was talking about was non-steam.This is the way it works, it has no steam update or anything.
In non-steam it keeps recording, no matter what, and how the hell can CS or PC detect whenever you talk and or when you don't, especially if there's background noises?Explain please?
-
Dude I told you already, in the latest steam update valve has changed the voice codec. It now works similarely to the ts3 one that you are familiar with.

Well stop posting unnecessary posts.
And please stay on topic.
Removed all useless posts

What you on about? It is relative to the topic. In the last 5 or 6 replies we were disgussing what the OP wanted to achieve in his script.

My apologies then.

Or just bind mouse3 +voicerecord lol

Or just bind mouse3 +voicerecord lol
You still have not read the thread. Please read it before stating your opinion. Cause that opinion of yours has nothing to do with what the OP wanted to accomplish.

I understand what taha means to do, when you speak record and when you stop speaking stop recording
But can't they just click (n hold) a button thats fairly accessible? (they move with the mouse after all)

You still do not understand that you NOT NEED the script to accomplish what the OP wants to accomplish.
