I came across some pretty nice graphics which I think are absolutely useful for us FMs and other highstaffs to Lock a topic.

I really like the 2nd picture. Just wondering if someone could make something similar with a touch of Ambrosia in it. Let your creativity go wild but I would really appreciate if the picture can be a little bit professional. ;D

I don't mind using the 2nd picture tbh.. But since we are a well established community, why not have a graphic designed specially for us instead of using someone else's.
I am sure our design team can do a good job.. *no pressure* <- I'm lying!

I'd prefer a black/grey version which blends with forum.
The words are barely visible also they should be sharp so it's visible and the message is clear.

I think you should have the Ambrosia logo, the locked key and the text as components. Also you should make it smaller almost as twice in the width smaller.
Erm if you make it black or grey, you may add a flare of fire or anything like that, or optional, add milk! haha

I also feel that the wordings should have more clarity and like Sami mentioned the size should be more horizontal and smaller.

Guys don't forget the main ingredients, specially the key. As you see what Firroth posted the second picture has the key coming out of the main frame and I think that's a good idea, you can put the ambrosia logo on top of that key.

Although good job mate, but we are looking for more professional type of a lock. The sample we have given is already a lot like we would like it, with the lining and the key coming out of the picture.

Kayto, yours is too big, it's good, but not good enough. I don't think we need any movement in there.

This is definitely the best out of all the ones posted. But I'd prefer if it's a little more horizontal (wider, less height). Also some sort of border would be nice. Good job once again John.
edit: Looking at it again, I think it would be nice if the horizontal chain can stretch out from the picture.. making it longer and not restraining within the picture itself. If you get what I mean? Like the #2 sample I posted, the keylock stretches out from the picture.. yours would be great if the chains can stretch out from the picture as well..

Very good effort Kayto, but like Sami said, would prefer if there isn't any movement on the graphic.
I think at the end we will pick the few good ones and have a vote in the HQ board to see which one will be used as our official "Locked Topic" graphic. What you think Sami?

Most of the graphics are really nice.. But they seem to be lacking something... something "professional".. can't really explain what because I ain't exactly a graphic designer.. sorry :-[ :-[
Something to point out.. Try not to constraint the graphics into just a rectangular picture. It tends to get abit boring when everything seems to be within a "square-ish" picture which makes the picture looks like a "signature". Break lose the boundaries ;D

Notice that there isn't any boundaries or feeling as if the graphics are trapped within a rectangular picture?

Don't say that Kayto. You did a good job as well really. It is just my personal preference. We still don't know what the other highstaff think. You can still post your work if you have any, since now it's clear what type of graphic we are looking for.

That's a good work there, Jay, erm maybe a bit of a color change? And little bit smaller in height. But so far that's the best I've seen so far.

Personally, when I think of locked, no entry, don't touch, warnings etc - I think of red.
A colour change to what though?

If you leave "Locked" red that's fine, but the the text bellow that should be in greenish color.
Height should be smaller, thinner. Good in length, but needs to be thinner :D

Its easy u just add the logo of ambrosia and low the opacity :) and none will crop it :D

Just improving the black base to 'C' and 'K'. They looked a little thinner compared to LO & ED. Removed the thin grey line beneath the padlock - That was irritating me a little bit ;P

personnally, i think this is some great stuff. but i don't like the logo behind it. it's to crowded if you ask me, doesn't really look as professional. i'm going to try something myself now.

Put a small logo between the lock and T letter in the word "This" or put it in the O in the word LOCKED :)

To be honest I don't see why the image has to contain the coat of arms for just a simple 'thread has been locked' image. If people take the image it's more of a compliment than anything else. I can try something later though

But if it has to be, then the one you did with the logo on the left side, as I said it might look better if it's completely behind that circle with "AS" not just on one side.

You didn't get what I said, I meant the ambrosia logo as behind the main picture.
As I said I am quite happy using the picture what Jay made without the main Ambrosia logo, does that sounds clearer?

I would definitely vote for this, good work Jay and the rest of us, but clearly Jay has a talent, I mean it cannot be easy can it? Specially for beginner, I downloaded some programs like photoshop cs6 and just got dumbfounded by the complexity of it.

Firroth, make a vote in FM board, include this one since I think it's the best from the rest, as Jay said the quality is better than the other one he did.
