Title: | STEAM GUIDE | -Grap&Drop
Post by: Guilty97 on January 19, 2013, 11:37:04 am
Hey guys this is a tutorial that i saw helpfull to all of you steam users out there. So lets say you want to transfer your steam games to another pc but u dont want to download it again maybe because u have a crapy internet.there are various methods on how to do this:

1.Well almost all of your games are in the common folder so just download and install steam on your other pc and just copy of the game from ur first pc from the common folder to your other pc. Advantage:Steam will not try to Download new files, it will Discover Existing Files, Disadvantage:It will Still Run threw the percentages But i promise you its faster than the ordinary download

2.Well this is my favorite because this method will help you have your entire steam with its library with you, maybe on an external drive if you want.So first you Copy your entire steam folder to an external drive or a usb whichever works for you and then take it over to your second pc and you either run it off the external drive or you can copy and paste the whole steam file to a certain directory.
VERRY IMPROTANT:: When doing the second methode be sure you are not running it in an offline mode because you will not be able to do it the first time and be sure to run steam.exe as administrator or else it wont work

Advantage of method 2:Super easy and very handy, Disadvantage:nothing
